My dad is living here for a year now and I am so appreciative of how well he is taken care of. When we eat with him in the dining room, I see the care that the servers take with each person to slow down to their speed and get them why they want to eat. All of the concierges har been so helpful with whatever I need. The nursing staff has guided me through all the changes at each stage and done so many little and big things to keep dad happy and healthy. And then, the life enrichment gals… they do so much to keep it lovely around here. Even the driver knows Dad and cares about him. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

My father was here almost 2 years. He moved from AL to memory care/LN. Initially, the general manager, RN & lead in LN were visible and engaged with residents & family. Two of these three key positions were transferred to other Aegis properties that needed "help." Thankfully, Andrew (the RN) returned to the Greenwood property when the other two transferred. This is when quality of day-to-day care dropped. The replacement manager & LN lead were rarely seen out of their offices. They did not return emails and did not follow up after in-person meetings to discuss care issues. Frequently, we found my father soiled, unshaven and in clothes that were not his. He was not showered regularly and often his dirty laundry piled up, questionable whether his teeth were regularly brushed, his compression socks were left around his ankles etc. We finally hired someone to come in 3x per week to check on him in addition to 2-3 weekly family visits. These vulnerable seniors cannot advocate for themselves, let alone recall specifics. Until Aegis gets things under control, I would not put a family in their Life's Neighborhood Memory Care program.

I have been researching assisted living communities in the Seattle area for my dad. He has lived alone since my mom died and besides being lonely, he has been needing more help than i can provide with a full time job. Location is a big deal for me given my job and family and being able to visit routinely. I went to Aegis Living in Greenwood with basic expectations, like probably seeing the same stuff as Merrill or the others I've toured. Aegis staff was really easy to get info from and let me see all areas of the community, even the memory care units so I knew the full extent of their services. Toured the dining areas and chatted with other residents. Really open environment. Aegis has a pub and movie theatre which I know my dad will appreciate. Not at all like a typical senior living facility. Looking forward to showing my dad when he tours.

My mother-in-law lived to over 100. In that time, and as her needs changed, she was in several different facilities. The best by far was Aegis Greenwood; it was OUR favorite, and it was HER favorite. We all appreciated the kindness and attention she received. She was not an easy patient to deal with, but the staff were endlessly patient and understanding. We were kept informed, but they were able to deal with any difficulties that arose. It was obvious that the staff genuinely enjoyed working with her, and were fond of her. When she had her 100th birthday, they had a days long celebration including decorations, a crown, a banner, etc. When we hosted the family party there, the staff showed up with balloons and a helium tank, etc. (although we had our own). Her final days there were in hospice, and they were so loving to her, coming in and holding her hand, and supportive of us. I can't imagine a better group of people to work with.

My mom moved to Aegis Greenwood after we had an unfortunate experience at another memory care facility. The management and staff are exceptional - from the warm welcome they gave Mom, to the prompt, professional, and supportive care they provide each day. There are activities for any personality and the meals are fresh and delicious. The facility is pristine and well-appointed. I can finally breathe easier knowing that she's getting the very best care and living the safe, active life that she so richly deserves.
