Staff was unskilled when it came to transferring me from the bed to my wheelchair, from the wheelchair to toilet, and transferring me back to my bed. Also, Dr. Cantrell did not answer any of my questions I was put on hold. My medications that were prescribed to me and were to be taken each day I did not receive those medications Dr. Cantrell knew but nothing was done about the medications I should have been taking for diabetes. I do not recommend this facility. It is old and it has a bug problem. A lot of things in a room is not clean daily like the bathroom and the rooms. The overall staff has a notion that their only task is 1. CNA not able to communicate using the English language, not qualified for care, and only there for a paycheck. 2. The nurse that is on duty to give medication ONLY should be a CNA. 3. The unit nurse especially the nurse on day shift should make sure every thing is checked and double checked especially when it comes to diapers change, correct medications are being given to the patient.

After a terrible experience at other rehabs I was so skeptical about sending my family to another health center .. however I am so HAPPY I decided to try again. Woodland Grove has been nothing short of amazing!! The communication with families is astounding and the level of care has me truly feeling I made the right choice. I couldn’t recommend woodland grove enough !!

Don’t send your loved ones here if you care about their safety. On my mom’s first day at Woodland Grove Health and Rehab Center I needed to talk to the nurse about something important. I pushed the call button for an hour and a half and nobody came. Finally I had to call the front desk and ask them to send someone. One hour and forty-five minutes total passed before someone finally arrived. But not her nurse, a nurse from another floor that couldn’t help and was annoyed that I bothered her. I finally had to leave without getting my mom’s needs met. It was very upsetting. Your family member could be in distress, pushing the emergency call button, and these people will just ignore it. Staff is unprofessional. Facility is understaffed. Facility is run down, broken furniture, dirty walls, missing remote, phone too far away to reach. I’m really upset I sent my mom here and will be filing a complaint with the Long-Term Care Ombudsman over this facility’s poor response time and unprofessional staff.

I have a friend staying at this facility for a week so far and I have visited her 3 times during her care stay. Every single staff member that I had interactions with, was kind, friendly and professional. Their aftercare case worker was absolutely wonderful. I mean, no one wants to be at a medical facility, but, I would definitely consider Woodland Grove if it was for myself. I noticed patients were varied in their mental and physical status from post-stoke, post-surgery to old age or simply needing to get stronger in their walking and sitting abilities. I commend the staff and had a very pleasant experience. Great job! It takes a special kind of talent to work in rehabilitation and I observed committed and caring vibes.

I have been in many different hospitals and I have never received such excellent care as I have from Lavakas a CNA. She has my things ready before I even know I need them. You can truly see the love she has for her patients and that she truly enjoys her job. She always makes sure I have everything before she leaves and is very polite. I cannot say enough good things about her. Next is Victoria and she’s an RN. She made a huge difference with me by sharing her dogs pictures with me after learning I just lost my dog. She was also fast to get me my medicine when I was in pain and never made me wait. She was thorough explaining exactly what I was getting each time I got meds. Charles made physical therapy better for me because he has a relaxed laid back personality which was pleasant. I didn’t feel pushed or rushed to get through my exercises and he is a big asset for Woodland Grove. Keesha and Patricia were also very good doing anything they could to keep me comfortable and make my stay better. Patricia found my lost robe which was amazing. It was only a robe but she made it important that she found it and she did. Thank you
