My father had to stay here. Admittingly when I first arrived to visit I was taken back. Sorry but the smell, the chaos, wheelchair avoidance tag, but as I visited daily the charm of the staff really sold me. The smell disappeared or my nose adjusted, not sure, but it seemed temporary and what can you do? It's just part of life. What a freaking job they have, we should all be more gracious to those who do these very difficult jobs. A special part of heaven is meant for them. Thank you to their staff for making awkward situations of having a human body, just easier. You lose some humility in these places, but they smile and do it every single day and don't make you feel ashamed. It's just part of their daily process. I am eternally grateful for each one of them. They definitely took care of him well. Also the front desk women every single one of them, completely welcoming and friendly. The therapy team were also very understanding and very kind to him. I flew back to ohio confident he is taken care of by all the staff. Very grateful for the push he needs too. Are there some that need smiles more? Mistakes over small stuff, it happens! Sure! But that's a tough, tough job, we can give grace in those instances. We all pray we won't land in these places, but there always full! Reality of life.

This place does not serve special diets for kidney patients or diabetics. Renal diets my menu wasx pork back 7 slices, peanut butter Jelly sandwiches, dark meat chicken, ham. Whole milk . Etc. The staff all don’t wear name tags , if the do it’s flipped backwards. Nurses don’t ask if your currently take meds, they just serve them. One tried to give me seizure medication, I never had an episode one day of my 63 year old life. Drug addicts are across the hall from rehab patients. The best part of my stay was occupational and physical therapy! If you can’t be and advocate for yourself, don’t go there. I have pictures to prove the bad nutrition. The nutrition person told me I can have package hame, turkey because all foods are processed. My reply a chicken ln the coop is not a processed chicken. Don’t leave your family members in this place, it’s horrific.

Vivo Healthcare on University Blvd is an unprofessional environment. The deterioration of my mom's health and well-being began there and was then finished deteriorating by Vivo Healthcare Orange Park where she died. This facility is not a top-notch, due to its ill-mannered nursing personnel who argue with patients and loved ones alike. Some of the employees hired there obviously need to go back to further their professional training. I would not recommend you sending there your elderly-loved ones or anyone who matters to you.

The transformation of this facility is remarkable. When you come in, you are greeted by an extremely friendly receptionist, Geneaver. The administrator, Jayna is very engaged with the team. The Nurses, especially Sasha and Matt are very involved with their residents and really provide person centered care. Vivo University offers a feeling of comfort and caring from the time you come in and throughout your visit.
