Very friendly and caring people! Wound care male nurse not so much! Also asked nurse last night to be sure a dressing was on my husband’s stage 2 decub. This a m no dressing! I don’t want wound to get worse! As a nurse as well I know how important wound care is. Wound was caused by hospital not this facility. Want it to heal not get worse!

My 83 year old father fell and broke his hip. He needed rehab to be able to perform his normal daily activities. My father spent about 2 weeks at Brooks University Crossing and he had a great experience, definitely deserve more than 5 stars. Everyone and I mean everyone was so professional, kind, and treated us all like family. I believe the great treatment he received, helped him to recover and make it home faster than expected. We are so blessed and thankful for everyone that contributed to his success in rehab. We will always refer family and friends to your facility and thank you again for everything.

The CNAs have been fabulous and also therapy has been fabulous! Nursing has been helpful in addressing my concerns. For kitchen, there were some hiccups with meals but they have addressed concerns I've mentioned to them. The food is good. This is a wonderful facility. I would recommend this to anybody. I've felt very cared for and I'm thankful for the care provided. Quida (CNA) has been wonderful and also Tarmisha. Administration came by and visited and Whitney (case mgr) has been great and done wonderful things.

If you have a choice between here and the St. Augustin location, choose the latter. Unfortunately, this facility is not the worst that I've seen but it certainly isn't the best by far; here's why. It appears that this location contracts its CNAs so you rarely will have the same CNA. The majority of the staff is not skilled and lack the proper training for caring for someone who is immobile. They lack experience and training on the specific devices that are used for transporting a person from the bed to the bathroom. The staff also lacks empathy for patients, especially those who need round the clock care or just assurance. I have heard patients cry out for help and the staff ignores them or will see about them when they get ready. This facility is extremely under staffed. The same person who tends to the patient will handle the food trays, which is really unsanitary. You should not be coming from helping a patient use the bathroom to then passing out food. The staff doesn't have a habit of washing their hands or wearing gloves. And their response is always, "I don't have to wear gloves." If your loved one stays here, a friend or family member needs to actively be at the facility with them. By the time my family member was discharged, Covid was creeping down the hall. Now, the grounds are nice but care needs to be taking to the inside.
