So far so good. Husband just arrived tonight . The staff seems nice, only interacted with two but they were very nice and compassionate the building itself looks lovely. It’s kept up well. It’s clean which means a lot. I hope my husband’s stay here is as good as it seems it will be. I’ll let you know later.! Spent several weeks since my husband entered this facility. We have found that all the Staff are wonderful and their main goal is to keep the patient happy of course they’re busy. They need more help but they’re trying their best and as far as I know everybody’s happy my husband is happy. That’s all I care about. I want to give a special shout out to a young fellow by the name of Chris that helps with my husband, he’s terrific. He treats everybody with respect he engages them in conversation. He respects their dignity and he’s just a great person. I hope he goes far in his career. We want to thank everyone at Life Center that we have come in contact with? They all have been so supportive of me, the wife that stands on the side lines and doesn’t know what to do next. We want to thank you from our bottom of our hearts for all that you have done for us. May God bless all of you.

At this very moment, I am extremely annoyed and disappointed in this facility. I was ball faced lied to about my mother by Angela Hudgensons (or how ever its spelled), who told me my mother had been wearing a night gown at 8:30 in the morning and she observed this but my mother was in bed in the clothes she had on the day before and had slept in them. My sister was there both days and saw what our mother was wearing. After I said I knew this to be a lie then it was explained to me as a laundry thing, that her laundry must have been done and she was put back in the clothes she had on the day before. The clothes were dirty and had been slept in, period! We are having issues with this facility concerning our mothers hygiene and personal care so my sister makes notes and takes pictures. I was told things and had things explained to me by Tyler Conner, who is the Executive director but doesn't seem to be able to stand up against the staff or their incompetent actions, that made no sense other than that the man is clueless as to what happens in a facility he is supposed to be in charge of. I told both Tyler and Angela that things were very bad, we have been addressing the issues with the staff since our mother arrived, things had been unacceptable and I am at my wits end and demanded action. Tyler literally said he'd pass my message on. I told him that passing it on was not good enough he needed to take the action himself to make the changes. My mothers personal hygiene, diet and well being are neglected. Her food tray was left in the hall and not even taken in to her so she could eat, she was left in wet undergarments til my sister brought this to the attention of the staff. A bandage covering a bedsore had feces on it and went unchanged. My sister has begged these people to please do better and we have gotten no where. She had asked and explained if there were any problems concerning our mother that she be called immediately, mainly if mother was not cooperating or being difficult. They have not been calling her so I asked that a note be put on the door that my sister be called with her number on it, Tyler told me that they'd rather not put a note up because they care about the persons dignity. I explained that leaving a woman in dirty clothes, unkempt, wearing urine soaked undergarments, bandages with feces going unchanged, neglecting her nutrition ect.......should fall somewhere under DIGNITY also with Standards, Morals, Responsibility, Respect. After finally blowing my top and threatening to bring in the Agency for Health Care Administration I'm praying that this facility will buck up and get on point. We are having a very difficult time trying to get positive results from this place. If the changes are made and things improve, I will edit this review. This facility has had 5 days to turn this situation around. My sister an I are discussing what actions we will be taking ourselves for our mothers wellbeing right now. This whole experience should never of happened.

Our 92 year old grandmother was in the best of care she is one of the most independent people I know, we was surprised that she let her guard down and allowed herself to be cared for, with every visit she could not stop talking about how well she was being treated, there was not one staff member that was not hospitable which gave us peace of mind, this place is amazing and did I mention this facility is very clean.

It is helping so much in her recovery. She has the will and is gaining the strength to get better. Thank you all Life Care for all you do. Your place is not just beautiful the spirit of the employees is also beautiful. So grateful for what you have shown my 92 year old Mother. #221

My husband and I came to visit my brother, a resident here. First impressions coming onto the grounds — lovely. The grounds and exterior of the building are well cared for, and the landscaping is very pretty. Inside Life Care Center at JAX is pleasant, bright, and cheerful. Friendly staff greeted us. Everyone we saw seemed quite attentive in caring for the residents, and showed interest, respect and compassion in their care of my brother.
