They were slow to get up to speed with meds and meals and didn’t know of her bad allergies. She had a reaction. Once the staff was aware from her med records, the staff was EXCELLENT.

My mother is there I live out of state so I have to rely on calling her Since I don’t have a vehicle. You can never get through on the phones or they disconnect you as a pick up. I sent a tablet with all her information so she could be on video calls. Nobody there has offered to help her to call With her tablet. When I’ve been on the phone with her and she’s crying one of the nurses so rude in the background was asking her for her badge because my mother said I don’t know where it’s at. She yelled at my mother like come on you need to go to your room. You need to calm down.. There’s only one person that I like through Phone and his name is Dominic. He goes extra mile to go get my mom or he’ll go to her room and call back from my mother’s phone so I could talk to her. I wish I had the money to be able to put her in a better facility.

First night my dad was there he fell out of bed. The second night he was there he fell again cracking his forehead open. I got a call from Genisis telling me what had happened and what should they do. I asked how bad it was and asked them to treat the wound and call an ambulance. He was transported to Rust hospital in Rio Rancho. When I arrived at the hospital he was bleeding from the forehead. They nursed his wound. My dad had dementia and was unable to care for himself. Rust hospital took very good care of him until he died two days later.

The nurses did not understand English I saw the woman next two men get verbally abused I'm emotionally and mentally abused. When I entered the room nobody was prepared for me to be there the beds were filthy and dirty trash all over the place. Made multiple complaints, not about me but because of my observation of other patients who are there. The other individual who abused my roommate Still work there. I am going to say 95 percent of the workers are foreigners and don't speak English well. I do not recommend this place, and if you have loved ones there please check on them. You can call the state for investigation as well. I pray and I hope I never go back

My Mom stayed at Genesis Uptown for a couple of weeks. The stains care she received was what I expected. She made friends with many of the staff and they were very kind to her. When she left she didn’t have her glasses. The staff helped look for them but they were never found. I talked to Diana G. About the situation. She was very helpful and diligent about following up with me. Even though we couldn’t get my Mom in to the eye doctor to get new glasses for almost two months, Diana was ready to help. She got the new glasses paid for! This lady is a true professional and I really appreciate her!
