Albuquerque Silvercrest Apartments is an independent living community for low-income senior citizens in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Created by The Salvation Army more than thirty years ago, the community was designed to address a critical shortage of affordable senior housing.

The apartment-style residence consists of 52 units where residents pay only 30% of their income for housing, with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) covering the difference. This affordability structure makes independent living accessible to seniors on limited incomes.

The community is purposefully located next to a Salvation Army community center, giving residents easy access to spiritual and social events. Residents are encouraged to participate in community-oriented activities and recreational programs hosted at the facility, fostering an environment where residents can maintain independent living while remaining connected to a supportive community.
