We moved in at the tail end of your rehab project. It was an entire makeover inside and out. You have done a terrific job. There is so much involved in making the transition from traditional ownership to managed care. You and your team have made all the pieces work, for us and the other residents. Things that may go unnoticed such as knowing our names, and greeting us as we pass in the hallways is Very comforting. Also, the enthusiasm of the staff from the bingo caller to the bus driver is evident. The fresh new look and the spacious rooms are also something we enjoy. Our decision to move here has been very positive. It is a perfect time for us as we pursue this next experience of enjoying life in a simpler way. Leo and Polly Reedy

Julie Wilson, Residency Counselor, met us quickly after our arrival. She met with us to determine our needs, provided an excellent and thorough tour, and answered all of our questions. She is very nice to work with and knows the property. The property has been recently and CC completely remodeled. We were happy with the 1BR floor plans. We had visited several other properties in the Chicago area and not found one that met our needs very well at a price we could afford. We made the decision to move into the Roosevelt at Salt Creek as soon as we are able to.

I cannot say enough positive things about The Roosevelt at Salt Creek. I have moved my in-laws in about a year ago. Both came to Elmhurst from New Mexico. Both came in with major health issues. It’s not that The Roosevelt “healed” them, but being in such close proximity to excellent health care, coupled with excellent food, wonderful facilities, and myriad activities, both of my in-laws have improved their health. They are eating well and they have friends. Moreover, The Roosevelt has recently had a renovation that makes the feeling inside feel like luxury, again, not something my in-laws have ever experienced. They look forward to inviting people to their house to visit and it’s wonderful to go there and spend some time. The people, the resources, the space is just excellent. I would encourage anyone investigating this type of living, please give The Roosevelt a look….I don’t know if you will find anything better. Good luck!

I’ve been a Recreation Therapist for over 20 years. I’ve worked in behavioral health, dementia care, senior living, parks and recreation, and now community-based services for people with disabilities. I’ve walked through more senior living communities than I can count.<br><br>And here’s what I’ve learned…<br><br>Anyone can build a beautiful building.<br>Anyone can write a mission statement.<br>Anyone can say they’re “resident-centered.”<br><br>But you can’t fake a community.<br><br>From the moment I pulled into The Roosevelt at Salt Creek, I saw something that immediately stood out—life. Residents laughing. Families visiting. Team members stopping to genuinely connect instead of simply walking by. It wasn’t something created for a tour. It felt like an ordinary day… and that’s exactly what made it extraordinary.<br><br>As a Recreation Therapist, I don’t notice the paint colors or the fancy furniture first. I watch the people. Are residents engaged? Are they choosing how they spend their day? Are relationships being built? Are staff interacting because they have to—or because they truly care?<br><br>At The Roosevelt at Salt Creek, I found my answer.<br><br>Everywhere I looked, people were living—not just existing. Programs had purpose. Conversations were genuine. Residents weren’t parked in front of a television waiting for the next meal. They were connecting, laughing, participating, and making memories.<br><br>The life of a community isn’t measured by its décor. It’s measured by the people inside it.<br><br>The activity team knew their residents. They understood their stories, their interests, and what brought them joy. They weren’t just filling a calendar—they were helping people continue writing their stories.<br><br>As someone who has dedicated my career to improving quality of life, I left impressed. Not because of the building, but because of the culture.<br><br>The Roosevelt at Salt Creek isn’t just another senior living facility.<br><br>It’s a community.<br><br>And in 2026, that’s exactly what older adults deserve.
