We moved to the Vi in Glenview, IL seven weeks ago. The minute we walked in the front door we were impressed by the light and openness of the lobby. We were greeted by the staff with happy faces. Our first instinct was correct as soon as we moved in. The Vi was so helpful with helping arrange everything. The staff in every department are so helpful and friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. So happy we chose the Vi and highly recommend it!

I have been a resident of the Vi at the Glen for almost 7 years. I have never been disappointed with my decision to move here! There is a strong sense of community & an abundance of thoughtfully curated activities. Health & wellness is the primary goal of the staff. They go above and beyond in an achieving this every day.

I had lived 60 years in a beautiful house in Highland Park - with a pool and rooms full of memories. About six months after my husband died, my daughters brought me to explore the Vi in Glenview. (My daughter Sally had seen the Vi in La Jolla, CA, was very impressed, and thought we should look at the Vi here.) Lucky for me -I thought it covered all my needs. All of the large spaces enjoyed by all the residents looked like they would make my life easier (and more social!). I moved into a one-bedroom apt. with one and one-half baths - my daughters helped me pick out furniture that would fit my new place - leaving all my furniture in the house to be divided among my children grandchildren , who all lived nearby. Meeting my fellow residents made me feel as if we were all back in college days. One day when I was in the bar area, saw a new resident, and looked at her name tag. I said "I can rembember your name - Pamela Smith - because I went to Smith College!" She said: "So did I!" (Now we have a group of four who went to Smith - and now and then we meet for dinner to share our memories!) Living here I'm busier than ever. Exercise class - games of all kinds (bridge, canasta, rummikub) - musical entertainment - group rides to theatre nearby or in Chicago - and much more.

I chose to move to The Vi at the Glen for the certitude of having the safety and quality of lifestyle I wanted in my late life.Most importantly, I wanted the assurance of a health care facility to provide the level of health needs that might occur. The Care Center at the Vi fulfills my requirements, including the 10 days of caring, professional recovery after my recent hip surgery. Additionally, the campus, living facilities, amenities, and dining programs are excellent. During the 9 years I have been here, I have never regretted my choice for any reason. The ultimate satisfaction has been the culture of respect, true community, and "staff family" who serve and support us daily. I honesty feel we residents and staff go about our daily lives as one family; the only difference is the staff doesn't sleep here. John HIggins

Jerry and Lauren Miller We moved into the Vi at the Glen, Glenview, Illinois from Leawood, Kansas. Prior to the move we were somewhat apprehensive because we didn’t know anyone who lived in the community. However, our move to the Vi exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we first visited, we were impressed by the beautiful campus, outstanding amenities, welcoming residents, and the genuine sense of community that makes Vi such a special place to call home. A major reason our transition was so successful was the exceptional assistance we received from from the sales and move-in staff. They were consummate professionals—knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and genuinely caring and guided us through every step of the decision-making process, answered countless questions, and made what could have been a stressful experience remarkably smooth and enjoyable. The entire Vi team has been welcoming, friendly, and committed to helping us enjoy an active, engaging, and worry-free lifestyle. We have already met many wonderful residents and are enjoying the wide variety of activities, dining options, and programs available. We could not be happier with our decision to join the Vi at The Glen community. Our sincere thanks to the entire Vi team for and all the wonderful residents, who have made us feel at home from day one. We wholeheartedly recommend Vi at The Glen to anyone seeking an exceptional retirement community.
