Could someone please help me? My estranged sister, Roma Advaney, has been a resident here for years. Roma ghosted me after receiving our late mom’s ashes at this facility, without closure regarding what she did with the ashes. Can the administrator that Roma spoke of please tell me if our late mom’s ashes are still with Roma, or what became of them? From my adolescence to our mom’s death bed, Roma inflicted a pattern of involving us in her messes, then ghosting us in the fallout. Roma’s final violation was from this facility. I would appreciate some closure, aside from the closure I got from the stranger at her former number.

My mom has been there for the last 5 1/2 years, and my mom has been transferred to a new facility without my permission/ consent. They didn’t notify me of where she was going I had to hear from another person. This place isn’t good for anyone to be at, and if you have your loved one there please get them out because they aren’t taking care of them properly.

My dad has been at this facility for several weeks now - he's had a long history of dementia/not taking care of himself, and in just a few weeks, he's already looking better and learning new skills. The staff have all been very helpful to me during the process of getting him there long term. Thank you!

There is something very special about The Grove of Skokie! I felt it the moment I walked in with my 93-year-old father who was transferred there from the hospital. The entire staff of The Grove could not be more welcoming, friendly, patient and caring. Is the facility a little shabby? Sure. Do the walls need painting? Yes. But you will never find a more attentive staff ANYWHERE. That, to me, means more than anything. We would not go anywhere else.
