I am writing this review to help all of those I can, to not by any means put a loved one here with dementia. My dad was here a couple months in 2025 with dementia but none of the staff cared for him. There was nurse. I wish I knew her name. I just know she was Jamaican but she was lovely to my dad, but everyone else was terrible, even to me. Imagine a person with loved one with dementia.
Imagine having to watch a loved one go through this hardship. Imagine a loved one knowing you, loving you, raising you to suddenly not knowing you, hating you for no reason, imagine how hard that can be to say goodbye.
I visited my dad with dementia here. And visiting him was hard. But the staff was worse. Trying to see him was like a burden to the staff and leaving the facility ? I was from out of state. I didn’t know the code to leave and all of the staff looked at me like I was crazy, but I was in a common room and not one patient was going to be able to leave but no staff would help me either. Except a kind soul, visiting his mother helped me out of the building. I’ll never forget that guy. He deserves respect more than the staff here.

I could tell the staff didn’t care about my dad or others. No one engaged, no one helped. No one seemed to care

My father was later transferred to another facility. Where he died peacefully in his sleep a month later . And not to say that facility was any better. I just want respect for people who are going through something so traumatic, and for nurses to treat people with sympathy for such traumatic events.

*******edit****
I look at more negative reviews and it’s all I was experiencing with my dad. So if I can write this review above over a year ago and nothing has changed in how they handle patients. Then it’s clear how this place is handled. They DO NOT care about patients, they let people just die. No one has empathy there. Why are you open!?!? You killed my dad. You did not care for him. You respond to the positive post but you never try to make peace with a negative. Thanks for killing my dad. And thanks for never caring about these people. Please please please. Do not put a loved one here.
