Told my aunt that she was fine but she obviously wasn’t and I made her go to the ER and turns out she has pneumonia. They listened to her lungs and told her she was fine and tried to talk her out of going to the ER! What the heck!

Kind and skilled staff made me comfortable knowing that I was in good hands. The food was very good, breakfast eggs were real and nice menu options with snacks available when needed. Pleasant rooms with lovely views out of the windows. I was nervous about where I was going for my post-surgery care and P.T. Yet, from arrival to discharge, the good experience was a key element in my healing. Thank you all at Estates of Delano.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I felt the need to do this review. My grandfather was sent to the estates of Delano on Hospice care. Upon arrival we were greeted by the Director of Nursing and we were shown to my grandpas room as we arrived before he did. This room was hot and muggy and had a strong urine smell. The Director of Nursing was very nice and offered to bring us some more chairs as there was 5 of us there. He never brought us our chairs and we about a hour later had to ask another staff member for chairs. This was a minor inconvenience but nonetheless frustrating for us. About 30 minutes after his arrival my grandfather had soiled himself and we pushed the call light for him as he was unable to use it himself. When the Nursing assistant got in the room she put a unfolded blanket on his knee, left him completely exposed and soiled with urine and said “We didn’t know he was coming until a hour before and It’s shift change the next shift will deal with it” While giggling and she left the room. After about 30 more minutes and after we complained the evening shift came and cleaned him up and got him comfortable. We did make a complaint and the care did get better but it seemed communication was lacked at this facility. A nurse came in and asked questions about when he wakes up how he transfers, and they insisted on bringing in his tray for him to eat when he wakes up. My grandfather was completely unresponsive on hospice and we told them he wasn’t going to eat or be getting up. For context my grandfather was only at this facility for a little over 48 hours and was actively dying when he arrived. I’m not sure if they don’t see Hospice patients often but it seemed as though there was no experience on how to handle it. If you’re thinking of sending your loved one here on Hospice I would exhaust all other options. This facility made our last moments with our loved one much harder and stressful than we needed.

I can't say enough about the incredible experience my family had with the Estates of Delano, especially thanks to Casey, their head of nursing. From the moment we first met, Casey's professionalism, compassion, and expertise shone brightly. We were navigating a challenging time with my mother's care, and Casey made the process so much smoother. Casey took the time to thoroughly consult with us, offering invaluable advice tailored to my mother's specific needs. He was always available to answer our questions and provided a comforting presence that made all the difference. It's clear that he's passionate about what he does. It's with dedicated staff like Casey that truly elevates care. I wholeheartedly recommend the Estates of Delano and extend my deepest thanks to Casey for his exemplary service. Five stars all the way!
