My mother has been at Vineyard Park Cottages (previously known as The Cottages At Mill Creek) for almost a year and a half now, with advanced dementia, and they are taking excellent care of her. From all I've seen when I've been there, the staff is very nice, patient, kind and compassionate towards all the residents. They are always engaging and seem to know the residents very well, and are happy to talk with me about how my mom is doing and answer my questions truthfully but compassionately. I truly appreciate that while I'm sad about my mom's condition and prognosis, I can feel better knowing that she's well taken care of and I don't have to worry about her well being in regards to her care.<br><br>The place itself is tucked away off the main road, surrounded by trees and next to McCollum Park (where I liked to take her walking back when she was still walking), and plenty of shopping and restaurants around to take your loved one out to during visits. The facility is clean and well-kept, and smells fine (a real plus for these types of facilities!), and the care is 24x7 - residents are always surrounded by people who can care for them and help them with whatever they need.<br><br>The resident care coordinator, Shermaine, is excellent at her job, highly organized, and has great rapport with the residents. I feel like I can count on her to help me with anything I need in regards to my mom's care. I love that the mood there isn't somber and sad like it easily could be, instead the caretakers are always smiling and engaging with residents to try and brighten their days. I'm very happy with the care my mom has received there and would recommend this facility to anyone looking for memory care. Thank you for all that you do!
