I recently moved my beloved aunt into the atrium in Agawam and I have nothing but the highest regard for the way staff<br>came out to the house and interviewed her for an initial assessment<br>they were so kind and gentle with her and understanding and then when we arrived, they were so welcoming to her and started getting her involved with the whole community.<br>Her room was wonderful and had a large window so she could always see outside and we were able to bring in everything we wanted and set it up in the way that made it seem like her home and comfortable in her new surroundings<br>The entire staff<br>was very accommodating and helpful. They were there to offer assistance and answered all of our questions and concerns<br><br>I have the highest regard for Allison and Crystal and all the staff there<br><br>Moving a loved one is always hard but I am confident being at the Atrium she is surrounded by individuals who truly care about her well being and they show so much love and kindness with all the members of the community in their care.

The Atrium was able to take my father in on very short notice, at a time when his options were extremely limited. The environment is clean and bright, and has a welcoming feel for residents and their families. The floor plan is conducive to community interaction. My family is grateful that my father is in a safe place where he is well looked after.

My husband has been a resident at The Atrium at Cardinal Drive for the past three months. Our family researched many memory-care facilities and narrowed it down to four to visit in person. The Atrium stood out well above the others in its home-like atmosphere. The welcoming team was very easy to communicate with and responded to our questions in a timely manner. The transition was a smooth one. I visit often and my husband seems content and well-cared for. The staff genuinely cares for the residents and they're always warm and compassionate in their interactions. Perhaps our biggest draw to The Atrium is their ability to care for residents at whatever level is needed. It is comforting to know that as my husband's needs change, he can continue to receive the love and support that the staff provides each day at The Atrium.

My mother has a particular mix of needs and was bored in a nursing home memory care. She's somewhat advanced in her cognitive decline, needs help with many ADLs, and is a big fall risk (no clue what the "stupid" walker is), but she benefits from lots of structured activities, physical exercise, and socialization. We were very happy to find The Atrium, which meets her at that sweet spot. We also like the levels of care cost structure, so she's paying for what she needs at the time.<br><br>The best part is the staff - the Directors are engaged, and there is a nurse alongside an activity leader and plenty of care team members on the floor. They bring energy and fun to the work! Family members, therapists, hospice and medical providers, as well as outside performers and sometimes the chef, circulate frequently too. All of it together constitutes a lively community, where my mother seems quite happy.

Our family struggled to find just the right memory care community for our mother. We looked at many places across the state, but from the moment we visited the Atrium on Cardinal Drive, we felt at home. During our first visit, they welcomed us with homemade goodies from the kitchen and took the time to introduce us to staff members in every area who would be involved in our mother’s care. We immediately felt that this was a special place.<br><br>Since she moved in, the care has been above and beyond. There is nothing better than arriving for a visit and seeing her dressed in one of her favorite outfits, with her hair and nails done, smiling and enjoying an activity. She loves the delicious meals, especially the waffles!<br><br>Her private room and bathroom are beautiful, with a large window overlooking the gazebo. She enjoys sitting by the window, watching the birds and relaxing. The activities are wonderful as well. The staff incorporates memory and fine motor skills into activities while still making them fun and enjoyable.<br><br>We also appreciate how welcoming and accommodating everyone has been to our entire family. During the holidays, they have made it possible for us to gather with a larger group and celebrate together just as our family always has.<br><br>Most importantly, we have such peace of mind knowing that our mother is happy, comfortable, and so well cared for. That means more to our family than we can possibly say. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at the Atrium on Cardinal Drive for the kindness, compassion, and wonderful care they give her every day. Thank you for all that you do!<br><br>Amy & Ted Doyle
