I was an F hall for rehabilitation after back surgery and a few of the nurses were extremely rude and no one did anything about it every time I got my food tray it was cold some of the nurses shamed me about something that had no business even being brought to my attention every time I ask for a glass of ice water I'm drinking too much water your sugar must be high and it's not I get dehydrated from my medications and I like to drink ice water this place was just absolutely horrible I regret agreeing to come to that facility!! 🤬🤬

I want to express my gratitude to the administrative team at Sycamore Heights (SH) for organizing yesterday's meeting to discuss solutions for Ralph's needs regarding visitors. As I navigate the grief of losing the life my husband and I shared for 26 years—our vacations and cherished moments—SH’s quality of essential services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, health and wellness activities, and nutritious meals, mean the world to me. Caring for my adult autistic son while healing from my injuries has been a significant challenge. Knowing that Ralph is in a safe and nurturing environment provides me with immense relief. Thank you for all you do. . Jackie Marquette

I can’t say enough good things about Sycamore Heights and the people there. I am not one to ever ask anyone for help and suddenly I was asking for help for everything (and I do mean everything) and when I wasn’t asking, one staff or another stopped to ask if I needed anything. Everyone was very nice, patient, and friendly and after being released in late January, I still miss my favorite staff daily. I had always heard and seen horror stories about nursing homes but quickly realized that in being sent to Sycamore Heights, I had been truly blessed. I was transferred to Sycamore Heights on November 4, 2025 from U of L Hospital following surgery after a bad car accident with a drunk driver. When I arrived, I had casts on both hands and had had surgery on a very broken leg which was in a boot. All 3 were classified as non-weight bearing which basically meant I couldn’t use any of them. My physical therapist and occupational therapist later commented to me that when they first saw me they didn’t know what they could do with me but we managed to figure it out. They worked with me daily as best we could until the weight restrictions were removed and then the fun really began lol. They always recognized when I was having it rough and made adjustments to my workouts and cancelled them when needed. They never pushed me past what I could do although I was constantly trying to push past my limits lol. There were activities planned daily for residents, bookshelves everywhere, and the ability to build friendships with other residents. If I ever have to go to another rehab or nursing facility, I’m definitely returning to Sycamore Heights. Thank you for taking such great care of me! Donna Formerly of Room 12-F

In my opinion this place is terrible. We had to take mom out after 2 weeks. She would be in the same clothes 3- 4 days in a row, even asking that she be changed more frequently. She would ask for pain medicine and have to wait for 4 hours to receive it. The place is full of roaches.she was supposed to go into rehab, but they put her into long term care and pushed that instead.when she left, they said they called in her prescriptions to Walgreens, but instead just sent a list of her medications, not the prescriptions itself. They will not return a phone call, but will send a bill. Will definitely be reporting them on Monday. I do not recommend this place

We couldn’t be more grateful for the care our loved one receives at Sycamore heights. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm and compassionate staff. The nurses and caregivers go above and beyond to ensure residents feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. The facility is always clean, safe, and well-maintained, and there’s a real sense of community here. It’s comforting to know that our loved one is not only receiving excellent medical care but is also engaged in activities that bring joy and purpose to their day. Communication from the staff has been outstanding—they always keep us updated and are quick to answer any questions we have. It’s clear that everyone here treats the residents like family. We truly feel at peace knowing our loved one is in such good hands. Highly recommended!
