This is the most loving, compassionate place filled with incredible sisters and caregivers. I'm so happy happy and thankful for the blessing St. Augustine's has been for mom and dad.

The most incredible place for the elderly who need care. We are so fortunate to have had my mom move to St. Augustine in 2022. More than a year later I can honestly say it is one of the biggest blessings of our lives. The entire staff is caring, patient focused and willing to go the extra mile. I visit VERY often, a few times a week and I am always stuck by the level of love and care each resident receives. It is the cleanest facility I have ever been in and every person who visits my mom says the same. You could literally eat off the floors....my mom says the floors look like a skating rink! The Little Sisters of the Poor are loving, caring and wonderful to be around. One of their vows is hospitality and it shows in the work they do every day and how they make everyone feel comfortable. They bring great joy and comfort to those who are reaching the end of life. The facility was built in 1967 and even though it looks older, and they do plan to build a new facility in the next few years, it is well taken care of by an incredible maintenance staff. Each and every one of that staff is willing to help with whatever the residents might need from repairs, hanging photos, to finding just the right remote for one that has gone missing. :-) The nursing staff is top notch and the CNA and MA are always finding ways to make the residents more comfortable. I feel confident that my mother is in great medical hands with this team and they keep me updated on anything new with my mom medically. I'm sad that the Director of Nursing has just retired...although I know she deserves it....and I know they have plenty of competent people to take her place. The kitchen staff work tirelessly to make sure each meal is healthy, nutritious and meets all the necessary guidelines, all the while depending on the Little Sisters of the Poor to do continue the begging tradition of finding whatever is needed for the residents from the community. The last piece of the puzzle are the ladies who create events, music, social gatherings to keep the residents engaged in activities and to bring daily structure to the home. They do a fantastic job and they are doing God's work every single day. Every holiday is covered, birthdays and anniversaries celebrated and joy flows from St. Augustine. My mom is Catholic and of course this was important to us, however, more than half the residents are not. The sisters care for every faith, race, and nationality. It is a true melting pot of humanity and we love it. I have even joined the St. Augustine Home Guild that supports the mission of the Little Sisters throughout the year. This was long but I think covers all the details of this amazing home.
