Called up there today about my uncle sitting in bed with hip pain and they put a lidocaine patch on and gave him Tylenol yesterday. Basically refusing to do a X-ray of his hip and making him suffer. You have to be there everyday to see the truth about this place and the care people receive. Don’t trust the google reviews or the awards they get.

As a concerned family member who is a resident at Springbrook nursing home/rehab I feel compelled to write a review regarding the quality of care, and the living conditions at this facility. The care provided by the nurses is good, Carolyn and Katelyn are excellent caregivers, they are compassionate, they need to recognized for their kindness, and quality bedside care. The other caregivers are lazy. Housekeeping is poor, rooms are not cleaned regularly. Rodent droppings have been seen in some areas. The food is deplorable, I would invite the managers to share a meal at Springbrook!! I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The reason why I keep my relative at Springbrook is because I am able to monitor his care daily. Anonymous

Everyone seemed friendly, the nurse & Dr came in and took care of his bandages and saw him making sure he’s ok and doing well, I was not impressed when my dear friend went to an appt at 9:30 and his left foot is suppose to be elevated and at 5;30 was still not elevated what’s wrong with his nurse do 1st things first nurse not assigning a new patient to the facility, not impressed, the food is horrible he said plain nothing adding a lousy hamburger & nothing on it, the cook needs to learn how to cook or get a new cook to cook good meals🙁😏

The most horrible experience I’ve ever been subject to. Room was 10 feet by about eight. The TV was the size of my computer monitor and it was 10 feet away. Separated by my roommate by a curtain. Unaware that I was coming even though I was there by 3 o’clock in the afternoon, they did not prepare dinner for me. I asked for something anything from the kitchen dinner since one of my problems since I hadn’t eaten and was weak. It did not come. They asked me what time I went to bed. I told him in an hour and a half for two hours after I told him my bedtime finally they showed up with my evening meds. The med tech couldn’t read half the normal names for the medication so I fhhad no idea what I was taking. They would not feed me until I got weighed. I refuse to get weighed until I got a TV remote. Therefore, I did not have dinner when you ran the Call button. It was at least 10 minutes for somebody anybody to respond.

I was a patient here and I am very disappointed in what I have seen and experienced first hand. I just checked myself out against medical advice. They are understaffed, rooms are ill equipped, staff openly talks about patients in a negative manner, and call bells are ignored because staff is not happy with certain patients. I had an asthma attack and it took staff much too long to retrieve my inhaler. I was given 2 different insulins at the same time and suffered a severe low. The staff is friendly enough on the surface but as mentioned they talk about the residents behind their backs. Meals arrive cold often and are often inedible. There are few activities for the residents to participate in despite being told that there are activities to participate in. There were cockroaches in the elevator. No heat was in the room despite it being cold out. I wanted to give a more positive review but with what I have witnessed just in my short stay alone I can't give a better review. I left as soon as possible for my own safety. There's plenty more I could write about. Please research the facilities that you go to thoroughly.
