The management of this property don't care about the seniors in this building. They installed new digital washers and dryers but didn't show the residents how to use them. Why wouldn't you keep a set that accepts quarters until ALL the residents were trained on how to use your new equipment? Many of them don't have credit cards, so what are they to do? Just So Unfair to the residents! No consideration for "The Seniors." Don't send your love ones here, if You love them.

This is one of the worst senior buildings I have ever been in. My sister in law has lived there for almost 20 years. The rent for her studio apartment is 990 dollars, let's just round it up to a thousand. There is black mold in her bathroom. They have mice year round. The management constantly changes so miraculously, there's never any record of complaints filed. They took out the one vending machine with claims of it being serviced but yet that was 7 yrs ago. Both elevators were out for nearly 3 months, so the people in wheelchairs had to call the fire department to get downstairs. I'm turning this over to HUD and the Department of aging because these seniors deserve better. Don't send your loved ones here, if you care about them.

Modest but well cared for older building for seniors only in an independent lifestyle setting. The grounds are clean and well kept as as the interior of the building. There is an on-site maintenance crew daily with the exception of Sunday as well as administrative support in the office six days a week. The building is quiet with a very culturally, diverse population of resident who are friendly and inclusive with all of the activities planned in the building holidays are observed the meal that sponsored by administration, there is a shuttle that takes the residence to various grocery stores in Walmart once a week as well as some other social outings during the year. Utilities are included in the income based rent rate that is fair in the apartments our roomie I have a large studio on the north side of the building and my view is of the golf course and Lake Michigan. The building is secured 24 seven by an inner door that is locked and requires resident approval for entrance, and the outer door is locked every evening until daybreak. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, and although I've never lived this far south, I couldn't be happier with my apartment. It is pet friendly with certain restrictions regarding breed and size of the dog or cat administration is strict with the resident rules, which are clearly explained at time of move-in with an easy to read resident manual. There is complementary housekeeping once a month as well as a free laundry on each floor The apartments on the north side of the building have the better views so if you think about moving in here, request a unit on that side of the building My only criticism is the hassle that I have been dealing with over the status of my emotional support/assistance animal, which is exempt from the pet pee that they want to charge me despite having the documentation from my doctor and the Illinois attorney general's office regarding the assistance animal status . But we're still working on that issue so beware but I couldn't be happier here and know that it could be a lot worse. Having a wonderful neighbors makes it all worthwhile.

Unprofessional management. It's sad that this is the kind of option available to elders of color on the southside of Chicago, which is predominantly made up of Black and Brown communities.
