I had to place my uncle at Schilling Gardens for a brief Rehab period. 6 weeks. The Staff were all Excellent and attentive. Food was good, I actually ate several meals there with him. The Snow / ice storm late January 2026 was handled great by Heather and her team. I can HIGHLY recommend Schilling Gardens as an assisted living option.

My father has been in memory care here for over 6 years. The staff and management have always been excellent in his care. Memory care can be difficult at times. But they seem to have the patience to get through those times. There are things that could be improved. You have to speak up and let them know what they are.

My mother lived here until her recent passing. We had been through 5 facilities during her decline and this is by far the best. They treated my mother like family. I would go to feed her dinner daily (not sure what the other review was about since they absolutely let you eat with the residents) and saw first hand the skill and compassion of the employees. In a world of apathetic and sometimes abusive elderly care this is a shining light.

I visited Schilling Gardens today to entertain for a family event. The staff was really pleasant and really interested in having plenty of activities for the residents. The residents were very kind and pleasant to spend time with. Many families were present and engaged with their friends and family. There were even community volunteers there to spend time with the residents. I had a blast and hope to go back.

Visiting Daddy from out of state. NO visitors are allowed to eat with a resident, let alone sit with them while they eat- and yes, I offered to pay for my supper.. And trust me, they have the room. Daddy ended up eating alone. His "friend" was in the hospital, so Daddy had his plate all by itself on a table that would fit 6-8 people. Nicely run Assisted Living place, with an ability to house up to 12 residents, though there were only 8 living there at that time. They play Bingo every once in awhile, but that is about it. At $145 a DAY, you'd think that they could come up with some other activities. Daddy spends the majority of his time in his "suite" watching his beloved Dodgers play or watching old movies. I had planned to fly out there every 2-3 months. I just don't know if I can do that anymore, due to family obligations and responsibilities out here on the west coast.
