First I will start with a few positive reviews. Three nurses/CNA’s were great: Paula, KerryAnne(may have misspelled ), and Sandra. These three were always helpful and if they couldn’t help right that second, they at least communicated with me. They need a raise bc they ran circles around the rest of the staff. Second, Brandon was one of our nanas PT and he was always so kind and helpful. Ok, so our nana went there to get better with therapy to come back home, not to stay bed ridden for hours on end. She was basically unable to walk or go to the restroom alone, so she required help to get up and get to the bathroom. Let me say she ended up there bc of a horrible UTI so sitting in soiled pull-ups for hours could have triggered another one. On more than one occasion she hit the light for help and would go 30+ min before any response, even when pulling the emergency help button in the bathroom. I’d look out the door with the light blinking and there would be 3-4 staff standing right there talking among each other. They could at least acknowledge the help button, and they would make someone aware help is needed. This is unacceptable. Twice she was told they didn’t have time to get her to the bathroom and to “poop in her pull-up and we’ll be back to clean you up”. This was humiliating for her. I understand there are several residences per each nurse/CNA and they are stretched thin. After reading all these reviews it seems that they need more help. Our elderly generation deserves the best for their last years of life. We are just so thankful she was able to come home early bc her caregivers were having to go there every day to ensure she was cared for. I just hope and pray she never has to go back.

I requested to be admitted there after I had hip revision surgery on May 8 I arrive there on 13 May. My first night was a horribly experience a patient got in the bed with me on my operated side. I press the call button nobody came. It got so bad until I had to scream until somebody arrived to get the lady off of my bed. Also, I was very disappointed in the service that I received after having major surgery they should have known that I should have had ice put on my operated leg at least 30 minutes out of an hour at least two or three times a day. I had to request that my daughter’s bring me an ice bag and I was brought ice chips in a Styrofoam cup to fill my bag in order for me to put the ice on my operators incision. Also, the food was horrible. After being there for four days I requested to be released the staff trying to get me to stay, but I signed a release so that I could leave one other thing Physical Therapy I was put in the galley kitchen with another patient two wheelchairs ones beside each other and while we were in there trying to do Therapy it was doing shift change so therefore employees were coming in. Put their lunch in the refrigerator while we were trying to do therapy very disappointing. I would not recommend anyone to go to this facility. It is not what it is advertise to be, don’t send your loved ones any Pruitt facility, they are short staffed by design. Lastly, they kept my medications that my insurance company paid for.

Scary place. Proceed with caution! Nursing Administration is horrible. Medical notes not accurate. Took 2 weeks upon admittance to get important medications for fatal seizures. Nursing staff has wrong info in system to work with. . Serious problem with people in charge of nurses. Several great nurses and assistants, but they can only treat with resources they are given. ALWAYS understaffed. Lots of “temps”. Most nights there is no one to get your loved one clean & dry. Call buttons are useless. A dozen lit up outside rooms at night with no one available to respond. VERY poor infectious disease protocol. Food trays on hazardous trash cans. C-diff in facility .

I broke my mother out of Laurel Park this afternoon. She was brought there at 10:30 PM for wound care. By 3:00PM the day following her admission not a single person had actually SEEN the wounds, because the bandages were still there from the hospital that refered her there, signed and dated by the hospital nurse who applied it. We documented absolutely everything we saw. She is now back home and very HAPPY to be out of that place!

Our family's experience with PruittHealth - Laurel Park was nothing short of a nightmare. After our mother was discharged from Piedmont Henry Hospital following a hip fracture, we chose this facility for its proximity to our homes. Despite our family being present 90% of the time oversee her care, the level of neglect we witnessed was staggering. The communication at his faulty is no-existent. From Dr. Patel down to the support staff, we found a complete lack of responsiveness to our mother's needs. Administrative follow-up was zero; simple requests from information or assistance routinely took 2-3 days to be addressed. Out of the two weeks she spent there, only two nurses- Brenda and Sandra- showed any genuine compassion or professionalism. Aside for them, the facility felt indifferent to patient well-being. I would strongly urge any family to reconsider before placing a loved one in this center. I would rather die on a cold lonely street in Atlanta vs being placed in this facility.
