About Klondike Nursing And Rehabilitation Center

Klondike Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 62-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Louisville, Kentucky, serving patients recovering from acute illness or requiring ongoing medical support.

Family experiences at Klondike are sharply divided. Most describe attentive, compassionate staff who go beyond standard care, one family noted the director "gone above and beyond" to support their brother's physical and mental recovery. Families consistently praise the facility's cleanliness, the patience and dignity staff extend to residents, and genuine communication about care. However, one family reported serious concerns about neglect, including extended periods without repositioning, inadequate hygiene support, and pressure ulcers developing after falls, raising questions about consistency in care delivery and supervision.

The facility holds a 4.5/5 Google rating based on 15 reviews, reflecting that positive experiences significantly outnumber negative ones, though the single low review documents safety and dignity failures that warrant careful consideration.

My mother has been a resident at this nursing home, and I am truly grateful for the care she receives. The staff treats her with patience, dignity, and genuine kindness. They take the time to understand her needs, her routines, and even her quirks, which means the world to our family. The facility is clean, welcoming, and feels like a safe place for her to call home. I appreciate the communication from the team and the way they keep me updated on her well‑being. Knowing she is cared for by people who truly care brings me so much peace

Mother has been to several places but Klondike's staff is by far the nicest, most humble and most helpful. They really do care.

My family and I are deeply disappointed and heartbroken by the care our family member received in this facility. She was treated with a shocking lack of respect and compassion. After suffering a stroke, she was left sitting in bed for extended periods without proper repositioning or hygiene, ultimately developing painful pressure ulcers—a clear sign of neglect. She fell multiple times under their care, hitting her head multiple times never taken to the hospital to check for a brain bleed and each incident was preventable. These falls were brushed off without adequate follow-up or concern. It wasn’t until her condition worsened dramatically that she was finally sent to the hospital. This facility failed to provide basic standards of care, ignored her medical needs, and treated her with indifference instead of dignity. No family should have to watch a loved one suffer like this. If you care about your family member’s well-being, please reconsider entrusting them to this facility.

I am so thrilled at the care and cleanliness of this facility!! My brother has been here for 2 months now for rehab...Ally, Sondra, and many more I know I have forgotten the names...sorry...but also Rick Seal the main Director has gone above and beyond to help my brother in many ways! Not just physically but mentally and caring... my brother had been on 2 other facilities that could care less about the human person...our family was so scared for his well being... Until I found this place (Klondike)... we all are at ease with him being there... Thank You so Much to All the staff... from the Laundry to his meals... each and everyone of you I gi e Praise!!!! May God bless you as you bless your patients and permanent residents!! Well done my friends 🧡
