Hillcrest Shadow Lake, formerly known as Huntington Park Care Center, is a long-term nursing and memory care community in Papillion, Nebraska. The community joined the Hillcrest Health & Living family in 2016 and continues a tradition of person-centered care for aging adults. It is located near shopping, churches and CHI Midlands Hospital in Sarpy County.
The community provides 24-hour skilled nursing care in a homelike setting, with personalized assistance for bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, medication management and daily routines. Care is delivered by experienced caregivers, licensed nurses and a support team. Residents have access to private and companion suites, each with a bathroom, along with a full-service salon, lounges and outdoor courtyards. Family-style meals are served in open dining rooms, and a Registered Dietitian guides nutrition in alignment with individual care plans. A therapeutic recreation program offers ability-based activities tailored to individual preferences.
For residents living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, the secured memory care neighborhood, Memory Lane, offers a structured environment with specially trained caregivers, secure outdoor courtyards and gardens, and enriching activities. Staff in this neighborhood complete specialized dementia training at onboarding and receive monthly continuing education. Memory Lane includes a bird aviary and a recreational activity area, along with individualized programming.
When additional services are needed, the social work team coordinates care through Hillcrest's broader network, working with Hillcrest Physical Therapy for restorative and rehabilitative services and connecting residents with Hillcrest Hospice for end-of-life care as needed.
Hillcrest Shadow Lake accepts Medicaid upon admission, along with private pay and long-term care insurance.
