Heathwood Assisted Living side in 2024 was suitable for my mother , however after she transitioned to the memory care side, there was a distinct difference in care and attention to her needs. We had to continually remind, request, and confirm that her needs were being met. Administration would email us that they would investigate a concern and not follow up , poor communication related to follow up concerns . Was not impressed with seeing several staff on memory care side often sitting and scrolling on phones instead of interacting with residents. Mom suffered many “unassisted falls”<br>Last fall she rolled off her bed onto her face, following a call asking staff to go into her room and move her into the center of her bed as we viewed her on the edge of the bed on a surveillance camera we had in mom’s room allowing us to watch her and support her needs. Fall could have been prevented. After our experience , our family does not recommend Heathwood .

Brought my mother in. She was having memory issues. They have been amazing! I waited over a month just to make sure. Everyone from signing us up, aids, dining room staff, nurse, Dr and front desk. EVERYONE has been fantastic.<br>Thank you!!!

Heathwood in Penfield is a wonderful place. Great facility and very caring, responsive and supportive staff. Very well organized and excellent communications. The fantastic care that they have provided for my mom has given me and my family great peace of mind!
