Golden Living of Point Loma (3223 Duke St,<br>San Diego) is an absolute nightmare. I've<br>seen enough to know this facility is falling<br>apart and putting residents in real danger,<br>all because the cheap owner refuses to<br>spend a dime on real fixes or basic decency.<br>The building is in horrible shape: holes in<br>the ceilings, cracked floors everywhere,<br>broken pipes and improper drainage<br>causing constant leaks-water pours from<br>bathrooms into the main hallway, and<br>residents get blamed for it instead of<br>anyone fixing the root issue. Moldy<br>ceilings, cracked walls, sinks that overflow<br>with gross, stinking water. Even the patio<br>door fell on a resident once-that's how<br>bad the maintenance is. The maintenance<br>guy does unprofessional, half-assed<br>patches with whatever scraps he has<br>because the owner won't buy real<br>materials. They wouldn't even shell out for a paint bucket to repaint a recently "fixed"<br>wall. Clogged toilets are constant,<br>residents' clothes get misplaced or<br>damaged, and the building sign is literally<br>gone now. This is not a safe or dignified<br>place for anyone.<br>On top of the physical decay, the care is<br>abysmal. Fights break out between<br>residents with little supervision. Some<br>staff talk back to residents, ignore them<br>completely, or worse-steal from their<br>rooms. Workers spread rumors like gossip.<br>The memory care door on the second floor<br>malfunctions all the time, which is<br>terrifying for those residents. Poor<br>assistance overall, poor food quality<br>(bland, low-effort slop), and an overall<br>unsafe environment.<br>And get this-the owner straight-up said<br>workers couldn't take home leftover<br>cooked food and insisted on throwing it out instead. Managers had to talk him out of it,<br>but the fact he even suggested wasting<br>perfectly good food while paying peanuts<br>and skimping on everything else? That's<br>the kind of petty, greedy mindset that<br>explains why this place is such a dump.<br>Families pay good money for "care," but the<br>owner treats food like it's toxic waste<br>rather than let staff have it or donate it.<br>Residents deserve better than this<br>neglected dump. Families, if you're<br>considering this for a loved one-don't.<br>Visit in person, talk to current residents,<br>and you'll see the truth. This isn't care; it's<br>corner-cutting neglect that risks lives,<br>topped off with ridiculous owner-level<br>pettiness. Avoid Golden Living of Point<br>Loma at all costs.

Pictures in the website are not reflecting the real place! This place is an absolutely terrible lost of control place barely for human! Furnitures in antique markets are even newer and better! It’s an abandoned house everything broke and disorganized! They looked like short of staff badly!
