The Eliza Jennings Story
Eliza Jennings, a not-for-profit organization providing excellent care and services to older adults on Cleveland's West Side for more than 130 years, is a nationally recognized expert committed to helping older adults make the most of the aging experience.
We offer a full spectrum of choices designed to meet the needs and preferences of older adults as they age, including independent and assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, respite care, and adult day programs. Eliza Jennings home and community-based services provide skilled home health care and therapy, a nurse practitioner house call program, and onsite wellness clinics to help serve older adults in affordable housing. Comfort and Care, Eliza Jennings hospice service, offers compassionate support for individuals facing end-of-life care decisions. Eliza Jennings offers a full range of memory support programming including SAIDO Learning, a non-pharmacological cognitive therapy shown to improve quality of life among older adults living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
Our network of communities includes Eliza Jennings Health Campus in Cleveland, the Renaissance Retirement Campus in Olmsted Township, and Devon Oaks Assisted Living in Westlake.

Like everything we do, it's all about providing you with choices. Also, our fleet of shuttle buses and chauffeured cars provide transportation to your appointments and shopping. And with our ever-changing monthly calendar of outings, there's always something exciting going on that might interest you.

The Eliza Jennings legacy includes many firsts when it comes to servicing seniors. This includes being the first aging services organization in the nation to be accredited by CARF International. This designation represents a mark of quality and is given only to communities and programs that excel in resident life, health and wellness, and financial viability.
Now there is hope for people living with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. Eliza Jennings is the first aging services organization in the United States to offer SAIDO Learning, a proven method for dramatically impacting the quality of life for older adults living with dementia. For the first time, we can do more than simply care for older adults with dementia; now we can set goals for improvement. SAIDO Learning is a cognitive therapy that is proven to reverse or reduce the symptoms of memory loss in adults with dementia.
Our Personalized Approach Meets Your Individual Needs
Assisted Living communities can be the perfect solution for older adults who are not able to manage living on their own, but do not yet require extensive medical care provided through skilled nursing. Our staff can provide 24-hour assistance with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and hygiene, offering a middle ground between independent living and skilled nursing care.

MEMORY SUPPORT
Eliza Jennings launched its memory support services for older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other symptoms of dementia in 1989. We have since become recognized for being in the forefront among aging service organizations in providing dementia care and particularly for the development of programs that educate employees on how to work with residents with dementia and their family members. Eliza Jennings memory support programs are founded on respect for each resident as an individual with his or her own lifestyle, values and personal history.

In addition to a number of known programs such as Music and Memory, opportunities for engaging older adults living with dementia in stimulation activities, Eliza Jennings also offers the cognitive stimulation therapy, SAIDO Learning, a non-pharmacological program that has been shown to improve the quality of life for older adults living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Respite Care
ASSISTANCE FOR CAREGIVERS AND RESIDENTS ALIKE
Respite care offers a break for caregivers on a short- or long-term basis when necessary. It provides a comfortable, secure home-away-from-home for your parent or family member when you are out of town or temporarily unavailable to give care.
With the support of our medical director and established relationships with physicians, specialized care needs are addressed and effective family communication is maintained.
Our on-site nurse practitioner, in-house therapy department, and specially trained nursing personnel complete an extraordinary clinical team managing each resident's care with personal attention and expertise.
Our respite care service is licensed by the state of Ohio and is staffed by Eliza Jennings employees.
Eliza Jennings offers respite services at all of our residential communities: Renaissance Retirement Campus, Devon Oaks Assisted Living and Eliza Jennings Health Campus.
