About Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Edinburg, Texas. It serves patients recovering from surgery, brain injury, and other acute medical events, as well as those requiring extended care.

Family experiences at the center are notably mixed. Some describe deeply compassionate care, with one family noting staff who "went above and beyond" during their father's recovery from a brain bleed, while another praised the facility's responsiveness and cleanliness following hip replacement rehabilitation. Families have specifically commended individual staff members, CNAs and nurses, for their attentiveness and emotional support. However, other families report significant frustrations with responsiveness; one family described waiting over 20 minutes for attention during a window visit, and another felt their daughter's call buttons were repeatedly ignored. Staffing constraints appear to be a recurring theme in both positive and negative accounts, with some acknowledging the team is stretched thin while still delivering care, and others expressing concern that understaffing compromises attention to patients' needs.

Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center holds a 4.1-star Google rating based on 96 reviews, reflecting the wide range of family perspectives on care quality and operational consistency.

The facility is incredibly clean and welcoming, but it’s the compassionate staff who truly make it special with their attentive care and patience. With great meals, fun activities, and excellent communication, our grandmother one is safe, happy, and truly thriving. We cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough!

I don’t even want to leave a single star. It’s not deserved. My adult daughter was sent there after some medical issues rendered her needing the help. Worst mistake ever made! The nurses would never go to her room when she called them. Ever. She would call me on the phone I would have to call and tell them to go to her room. She can’t do anything on her own. And that was on the rare occasion I could actually get someone on the phone. RUN AWAY!! Do NOT send your loved ones here. It’s horrible!

Horrible if you love your loved ones don't send them here. My friend has been here a few days and they have been neglecting her care ever since. They don't bother to reposition her or bathe her and leave her in agony for hrs and hrs at a time. Her mom said she spoke to someone there about her concerns and she said he didn't seem like he cared at all currently looking into moving her into a better place then here

"I had an excellent experience with the staff at this facility. The nurses, CNAs, therapists, and administration were all compassionate, professional, and attentive to residents' needs. The facility was clean, welcoming, and provided outstanding care. The rehabilitation team was knowledgeable and encouraging, helping residents make great progress. I would highly recommend this nursing home and rehabilitation center to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one."
