4-28-26 My husband passed away a few weeks ago. As his health began to decline, the staff, along with hospice, worked hard to keep him comfortable. Both day & night shifts grieved with me and it was obvious that these angels on earth loved my husband. When asked, I recommend Avalon to my friends. Visiting the facility is a must when considering care for your loved one. My husband’s cousin came for his funeral & I wanted her to see where my husband had been his last few years. She was immensely impressed and thankful that he had been well cared for & loved. I leave you with my motto I often share with friends, “No place is perfect but Avalon is perfect enough for me.” 2024 My husband has Parkinson’s and dementia. At Avalon, I feel that his needs are a priority for the staff. The facility is run in a professional manner and staff, both day & night, are kind, compassionate and well trained. They have experience working with people with memory loss and, since the facility is small, (maximum 26), staff gets to know each resident as an individual. The on site manager is an RN and works closely with hospice companies, health care professionals, and follows state guidelines for elder care. The building itself is up-scale with lovely furnishings and the living room has comfortable recliner's for residents. The food is cook daily by the chefs and enjoyed by residents. The rooms are large, TV included, and each room has a state of the art bathroom. The cost for me personally is less than at another facility where he was before. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved-one.
