As the daughter of a resident who has called East Hill Senior Living home for nearly 10 years, I cannot say enough about the extraordinary care and compassion we have experienced.<br><br>My mom recently transitioned from Independent Living to Assisted Living after a significant decline, and while it was an incredibly emotional decision for our family, the staff made the process as seamless and comforting as possible. They treated not only my mom with dignity and kindness, but our entire family with empathy, patience, and genuine support.<br><br>What sets East Hill apart is the people. From leadership to nursing, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, and every staff member in between, there is a culture of warmth and caring that you simply cannot manufacture. They know the residents by name, celebrate them, advocate for them, and truly make the community feel like home.<br><br>The Executive Director, Samantha, leads with openness, flexibility, and a clear commitment to doing what is best for the residents. Dayna and her team in Independent Living have been incredible partners throughout the years—always responsive, creative, compassionate, and willing to work collaboratively to meet my mom's changing needs. Their kindness has made an immeasurable difference in our lives.<br><br>Over the past decade, we've watched countless staff members go above and beyond in ways both big and small: taking extra time to chat with residents, offering a reassuring hand during difficult moments, and treating everyone with respect and humanity. You can feel that they genuinely care.<br><br>No senior living community is perfect, but what matters most is the heart of the people caring for your loved one. East Hill has that heart in abundance.<br><br>Entrusting someone else with the care of a parent is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. I am profoundly grateful that my mom has spent these years surrounded by people who have loved and cared for her so well. From the Introductory Meeting with Jakeith Jackson and Glenda Rivera our experience at East Hill was warm, welcoming and informative. It was this positive, supportive atmosphere that encouraged us to make the personal, life-changing decision to move into this senior living community. In addition, the suggestion of assistance from the Living Forward Company to help us downsize, as well as pack and move, was exactly what we needed. This experience was very positive and set us up to feel "at home", surrounded by our personal belongings.<br><br>Immediately upon our first day, East Hill residents welcomed us and invited us to join them for meals. During these first encounters we learned about daily life and activities here in the community. The weekly community bulletin provides helpful information about community activities and services. This has been useful to us in planning daily routines.<br><br>The assistance of Glenda Rivera, the Moving In Coordinator, has been invaluable, She has been the focal point of all our needs to settle into our new environment and make this new apartment, our home. This included the keys to all needed areas, hanging pictures, providing screens for the windows, and all the little things required.<br><br>Now, with the help of Glenda, we have met many of the staff who make East Hill a home for all its residents. As someone that is very familiar with this community, I find that not only the residents, but the staff are phenomenal. I have seen this community work through tornados and other situations where the unity of the staff comes together even stronger. I would absolutely want my mother to live here. There are tons of programs and lectures. The residents come from all walks of life and love to share their experiences. The community is always spotless and updated apartments are just a bonus.

I worked here as a server and had a very disappointing experience with management. I was told I’d be taken off the schedule until I removed my nails, even though other servers had theirs. I removed them as requested. The next day, Barbara called to let me go because of an opinion I shared in the servers’ group chat, which another server had shown her. I was never given a chance to discuss the situation. In my experience, policies weren’t enforced consistently and communication was not handled fairly.
