When it was determined that our 96- year-old father needed a live-in aide in order to remain in his own home, we were fortunate to be referred to At Home Care of CT. The team at the agency worked with us to find the best possible match for Dad, and that match was Ignacious. Iggy was everything that Dad needed. He was not only Dad's aide and housekeeper, but also his best friend. They would go for walks when possible, watch UConn basketball together, and genuinely enjoy each other's company. Dad appreciated Iggy's sense of humor and spiritual side; in fact, they would often pray together. As Dad's condition deteriorated, Iggy's professionalism and compassion enabled him to de-fuse difficult situations calmly and cleverly, so that Dad believed he was making all of the decisions. He truly treated his "client" like family, with respect and kindness. Ignacious was there with us when Dad passed, and he has felt this loss as deeply as any member of the family. The blessing that he gave that night provided a sense of peace for all of us, and he was truly a blessing for Dad to have with him for his last years.

At HomeCare is a great company and its staff are wonderful. The difference of a family owned business is evident. Everyone involved in my Mom's care was wonderful to her and to our family. Amanda and Arellis were always available to answer our questions. She was blessed to have the most amazing aide, Maria, spend the last month's of her life with her. She was caring, kind, empathetic and took great care of my Mom. She was dedicated to my Mom and always checked on her when she was not with her. As a bonus, she is a great cook. She is truly a beautiful soul and gave my sister and I peace of mind that she was being taken care of when we were not there.I highly recommend At HomeCare and Maria in particular.
