I write this review with a great deal of gratitude to all the staff and residents of Canterfield of Bluffton. Recently, my 93 yr. old father spent a month at this facility for respite care due to a series of radiation treatments. Each and every Canterfield employee ... from the Marketing Director, Activities Director, concierge, shuttle driver, dining room servers, housekeeping and expert nursing staff, handled him with the utmost respect and care. He loved the activities and the company of the residents. An unexpected outcome with this interaction helped provide a temporary distraction from his ongoing treatments. Further, I am convinced that it was this caring environment that enabled dad to successfully complete all of his radiation treatments. Finishing all of his treatments was of paramount importance to our family, as it allows for the best medical outcome for dad's cancer challenge. In closing, I would highly recommend Canterfield of Bluffton, whether you are considering it for a new home or for respite care. Gratefully, Patti M

Canterfield of Bluffton was truly a blessing for our family. After my mom passed away in Ohio, my dad decided to sell the family home and move into one of Canterfield’s Independent Living Villas. Having him nearby brought such comfort to my sister and me, and he truly thrived in his new home. He often told everyone how much he loved “living large” in his spacious villa—with its open layout and attached garage, it felt like the perfect fit for him. If you're searching for a community for your loved one—whether for independent living, assisted living, or memory care—I wholeheartedly recommend Canterfield. The care, comfort, and sense of dignity they provided meant everything to me. My dad passed away this March, and we miss him dearly. But we are so grateful that he was able to live in such a warm, supportive, and beautiful place. We truly couldn't have found a better home for him.

Choosing Canterfield of Bluffton for my granddad was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The staff is exceptional, always treating residents with dignity and respect. The meals are delicious, and the activities keep him active and social. We love visiting because the environment is so warm and welcoming. Knowing he’s in such good hands gives our family incredible peace of mind.

Canterfield of Bluffton provides a perfect balance of independence and support for my loved one. The independent living apartments are spacious and modern, and there are so many wonderful activities to keep residents engaged. As needs change, it’s comforting to know that assisted living and memory care services are available. The staff is caring, professional, and always willing to help. I highly recommend this community!

My grandmother has been at Canterfield of Bluffton for over a year, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The memory care team is exceptional – patient, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to their residents. The facility itself is welcoming and feels like home, and they offer wonderful activities that keep her engaged. We feel so lucky to have found this community!
