About Aviata At Rosewood

Aviata At Rosewood is a 120-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Orlando, Florida. The community serves patients recovering from surgery and managing complex medical conditions, including post-acute wound care.

Family experiences at the facility vary noticeably. Several families praise the clinical team and administrative leadership, describing nurses, physical therapists, and CNAs as professional and attentive. One family noted the director of patient experience "truly care about the residents and their families," responding quickly to concerns. A returning patient felt the doctors, practitioners, and staff "go above and beyond." However, other families report significant friction with facility policies and communication, one described case management communication as "awful" within the first day of admission, while another experienced a confrontation over bringing food to a relative that left them feeling unwelcome.

The facility holds a 3.5 out of 5 Google rating based on 83 reviews. Positive reviews consistently highlight a caring atmosphere, skilled therapy services, and dedicated individual staff members. Lower ratings point to gaps in operational clarity and family communication that may affect the early admission experience.

This is the second time in two years, that i have had to be here at Aviata of Rosewood. The Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, CNAS, Physical and Occupational Therapists, All of the office and administrative staff, go above and beyond. And of course no one can forget Donald who does everything for everyone. I don't think that i could say anything bad about this place.

I was up there with a full chicken patty and cutlery in my pocket for my father, they called the cops on me trespassing me and told my husband I’m lucky I didn’t get arrested because I threatened her. My husband knows I would never use a weapon or put anyone in danger and I’m a peaceful person asked her how and there was silence. As soon as she told me I could bring silverware in told her I’d bring it out to the car and turned around only stopping to tell her the cutlery was for the chicken nothing nefariousness and she lied about me. I never even expressed any negative emotion. I did not threaten her and she grossly over reacted violating my rights to see my father. She was in administration. She lied to the cops and said she we had an altercation 3 days prior. I’ve never seen her until then.

My mother had open heart surgery and then got an infection at the hospital. She has to have a wound vac on her chest. The communication between the case management is awful. This facility seemed the nicest out of the 2 my mothers insurance would cover. She has been there a total of a little over 24 hrs and I want to move her to a different facility. Joyous is a wonderful person and is great with communication and the nurse my mother had when she first got there was super nice and amazing. Today her nurse wouldn't look at my aunt when she was asking questions and my mother hadn't had her iv antibiotics and come to findnout she has a smaller wound vac than expected. Her night nurse was extremely rude to me on the phone. Every time I asked a question she made it seem like i was asking a stupid question and didnt understand what i was saying. When i would re word it or ask why we weren't told something she responded with we'll thats how it is here attitude. I am completely appalled of the staffs attitude and terrified of leaving my mother in their care.

The director of patient experience (Justin Manley) is amazing! They truly care about the residents and their families. Anytime we had a question or concerns, they listened and acted quickly to make sure everything was taken care of. You can tell they really want the best for everyone here. Their kindness and professionalism make a big impact in the day to day experience at the facility.
