I have had a wonderful experience here at Altoona nursing and rehab. Jauna, the social worker was wonderful. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure I was cared for with compassion and dignity. I get to go home tomorrow. I hope I don’t need to come back, but if I do, I will be choosing Altoona.

We just moved my grandparents into the long term care facility. They were previously living in an assisted living facility but when they found out my grandparents had to go on Medicaid, we were told that they couldn't stay there. Altoona is the first place that told us that they could go there. I love that they have activities and lots of windows so that there is lots of bright sunshine coming in. Yvonne has been so helpful in getting all the Medicaid paperwork done correctly and submitted. She was so amazing in making sure if I had any questions she got the answers for me. I'm so thankful for all her help, patience, and expertise in her job. My grandparents are both almost 90 years old and I'm so happy that they get to stay together. This was very important to my family. Altoona is making sure that they will be together.

The business office manager Yvonne has been a great help for me and my sister with Financials, VA, Insurance companies, social security. Communication with the office have eased our worries. Same with Autumn, she is always pleasant and helpful. The Nurse Practitioner, Mary Barkley is amazing. We love Kim Bates (Nurse) and Tammy Kellog (transportation). Great support team for my sister. The Social Worker, Jauna is great to work with during care conferences. Kenny and Bryan in maintenance are a great help. They are always so nice and great to talk to. Corrine, my sisters nurse is so caring.

When I got admitted to altoona nursing in rehab , I was told I would be here for a year or more. Due to the hard work of me and the dedication of the staff , I get to leave back into my own apartment after three months. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and love that I received here. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was not only cared for but treated with respect and dignity. I will forever be grateful for the food and the friendships that I have made.

My mom went here under hospice care they took such good care of her. Wilson, Kim there are to many to remember they touched our hearts with the way they took care of our mother in her final days. Would use them again if needed. Thank you for all you support thru this time of need. I will always remember you guys Awesome job. From Collins family
