Very rude staff, many of the workers use favortism towards certain residents. Not very good team effort and communication skills are lacking entirely. Oh and I've heard staff members state they only do the bear minimum.

Granger Nursing and Rehab has started to turn itself around in a very positive way. They have been very involved in the community, keep their residents busy and entertained with activities, and really care for their residents. Thank you to all of the compassionate and caring staff at Granger!

Only God Knows what truly happened. Here is what I do know; my sister fought for her life at Mercy Hospital for nearly 8 weeks and went from ICU to a regular care floor and then to long term care /rehabilitation-She survived all of this and Mercy felt she was strong enough to be released - she was walking, sitting in chairs and talking. Doing well. When I spoke with her she was laughing and in good spirits ( less than a week before she died). Mercy released her to Granger because they were one of the nursing homes that accept patients with tracheostomies as a new resident there and she was dead 2 days later. My sister's body will be cremated today. I pray that she was not in pain as she left this world.

My great grandmother is being moved out of here in two days and I’m glad for it. I’ve heard from numerous residents that the help here is insanely horrific. I’ve heard from myself the amount of attitude that the staff here have. The residents don’t seem happy and no one wants to be there. I’ve heard from residents that the only nice person is Sandra who is unfortunately leaving. Please for the love of god DO NOT send someone you care about here. I wouldn’t even send any of my worst enemies here. When nurses stand outside of rooms and ignore call lights it’s awful

My father has been there for one month. He is receiving TOP NOTCH CARE AND ATTENTION. This small facility caters to his demands n needs instantly. The compassion and love the CNAs n Nurses show him is indescribable. He came from a bigger n more expensive facility in Urbandale and would cry every night as the care was horrible and he wait up to an hour with family present for his light to be answered and felt like a number. Granger may be small but if you have a loved one in a facility within 20 miles of Granger if they are not at Granger they are not getting the care THEY deserve. It is so worth it to drive 5 more minutes to know MY DAD IS GETTING EXCEPTIONAL CARE. I can not say enough. I've worked as a nurse in LTC for 36 yrs and this is the best place I could put my dad. A big thanks to GRANGERS STAFF thank you for letting me sleep well at night
