The Cedars Assisted Living

The Cedars Assisted Living is located in the northwest corner of Madrid, Iowa, close to the High Trestle Trail, the Iowa Arboretum, and other recreational areas. The community features raised gardens in the courtyard and a landscaped seating area outside the garden room, giving residents easy access to nature.

The Cedars offers assisted living with home-cooked meals and small-town, familiar staff. Apartments include a kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave, and residents may bring a toaster and coffee maker. Each apartment has individually controlled heating and cooling, and residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture to personalize their space.

Pedretti Lane at The Cedars is a specialized area designed for residents experiencing cognitive changes, focusing on socialization, security, and specialized dementia care. Staff receive specific dementia training and provide one-on-one time with residents, along with small group events and activities to support well-being. Meals and medication management are included in the price for this program.

A nurse is on duty in the building 24 hours a day to respond immediately to resident needs. Medication administration is available at no extra charge for residents who need assistance with this.

The community provides shared spaces such as lounges and private dining rooms that residents can reserve for personal gatherings, including card clubs or family celebrations. Parking is available in the front lot of the building.

Small housebroken pets are welcome at The Cedars, allowing residents to keep their companions with them.
