As mentioned in most comments..there are only a few nurses that are doing their job. CNAs ...once they know and see that a family member keep a parent or uncle clean during evening shift ...you do not see them. A nurse has had to assist in helping clean up family member that was left with dried feces. Wow!!! . There are other residents that have sat in a w/c soaked with urine and feces. Why??...this is very alarming. Seems to laid- back of a facility..DON really needs to address these issues with the staff.

We have had a good experience here. It always tough to find a good nursing home, and White Oak has done right by us.

Disgusted with the care and cleanliness! This is my second visit in a year as I live 2,000 miles away and I am not in charge of their care. Last year my cousin and I spent 2+ 8 hour days cleaning and organizing their room. It was dirty and unsafe. They are unable to speak for themselves which is so sad. If I were in charge of their care I would move them tomorrow! I’m in tears. Again we cleaned and organized with the Director telling us to calm down and don’t make the staff feel bad!?!? There are some, a few good nurses and CNA’s that are kind and caring but too few. The Director is not one of them. However, the director of Nursing was with us today and she was kind and totally understanding. I can only hope she will follow through with her staff and maybe things will be better? It’s going to be hard to fly home and have any confidence that they will be better off. I would never leave anyone here!

White Oak Manor Charlotte, has been a God send for my family. My husband who is suffering from advanced stages of Parkinson's Decease needs 24/7 care now. Since being admitted he has been taken care of by the staff as though he were family. They are sensitive to his needs and care. He had an episode which caused a seizure and all the care team were instantly there to address the situation. They also keep me informed about his condition and or in changes to his condition, on a regular basis. The only negative thing is the dietary issues. If there are any special requirements they aren't always followed through. Lately however, even that seems to be improving. I would recommend this facility for your loved one.
