From the outside, this building looks beautiful. More like a ski lodge or vacation resort than an assisted living facility. Unfortunately, appearances can be deceiving.<br><br>My mother-in-law lived in the assisted living section, and our experience was extremely concerning. In our opinion, the facility is severely understaffed, especially overnight. Possibly not staffed at all overnight. She frequently told us that she would press her call button during the night and receive no response. At first, I assumed they didn't respond because they were busy with other residents being I only ever saw 2 staff working for the entire assisted living section. The facility states that assisted living is staffed 24 hours a day and we trusted that.<br><br>Then one night she fell and activated her call light, but no one came to help. Her neighbor heard her yelling for help and called 911. When the paramedics arrived, there did not appear to be any staff on-site. She was transported to the hospital, and after that incident we made the decision to move her out.<br><br>She also consistently complained that the food was poor, and we heard similar complaints from other residents. Also, her room was filthy despite their claims to regularly clean the apartments. We put garbage in her trash can and at the time of moving her out it still hadn't been emptied.<br><br>Based on our family's experience, I cannot recommend this facility.

I have happily ĺived at Valley Ridge independent living since ìt opened 13 years ago. The staff ìs friendly and helpful, there are man̈y activities an̈d performances by various groups, the buiĺdin̈g is clean and weĺl maintained, It is nice to have a Cafe available! Older sister just moved in....WOW!<br>Beautiful and clean facility, great food, but the nicest thing is this place is so inviting and friendly.<br>Starting with the most AWESOME staff, to the other residents, my sister after just a few days has experienced something she hasn't had for many years...community.
