⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There are moments in life that change your family forever, and choosing assisted living for our 79-year-old mom after she was widowed four years ago was one of them. It was a decision filled with worry, guilt, and uncertainty. We wanted so badly to keep her in her condo or have her move in with my brother or me, but we eventually realized love alone wasn’t enough. She deserved more care, more companionship, and a place where she could truly thrive.

We visited several assisted living communities, but the moment we walked into The Summit at Edgewood, everything felt different. There was a warmth and elegance that immediately put us at ease. I remember thinking, “This is the Ritz-Carlton of assisted living.” It wasn’t just beautiful—it felt welcoming, joyful, and full of life.

Then we met Rachel Tressler.

Rachel has been nothing short of an angel to our family. She guided us through every step of this emotional journey with incredible compassion, patience, and kindness. She answered every question, eased every fear, and never made us feel rushed. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, Rachel gave us something priceless—peace of mind.

Our mom has been in and out of hospitals, and we worried she would resist leaving the home she loved. Instead, thanks to Rachel and the welcoming community at The Summit, she’s actually excited about this new chapter. For the first time in a long time, we’re seeing that sparkle and brightness return to her eyes, and that means everything to us.

The Summit isn’t just a beautiful place to live—it feels like a true community where residents are known, valued, and cared for. Instead of worrying about Mom’s future, we’re looking forward to watching her make new friends, enjoy new experiences, and create wonderful memories.

To Rachel Tressler and everyone at The Summit at Edgewood, thank you for turning one of the hardest decisions our family has ever faced into one of the best. We are forever grateful.

C. Maislin
