The staff is very helpful and always available. They are absolutely fabulous! Living at The McAuley is easy, no house maintenance to worry about. You can enjoy your day with all the activities offered here, so much to do and your surrounded by so many great people. And by the way, having a chef cook for you every day is a super BONUS!

The McAuley is the most giving and compassionate community. The staff provide outstanding care to the residents. Every day the mission statement is demonstrated in the quality of care given.

I knew The McAuley was for me when I toured. Staff and residents make me feel at home when I visit and participate in events while I'm on the wait list. I'm grateful to be a member of this community in West Hartford.

My father enjoyed living here, so I will go easy on my review, but I thought everything here was a money-grab on top of the way-too-expensive monthly fee. It reminded me of Jr High School with the cliques and personalities of the other residents. Neighbors thought it was their duty to be aware of personal information and were appalled when told to mind their own business. Some of the residents were wonderful, but the majority were stuck in their McAuley bubble with far too much time on their hands.

In the six months that I have been here, I have met some interesting and enjoyable new friends. We meet for exercise, dinner, music and lectures. This has been an awesome move for me. Within a month of me living at The McAuley I now volunteer at the gift shop, library and even joined The McAuley Singers. Oh what a blast we have! I love my spacious and super comfortable apartment with a lovely balcony.
