During my dad’s recent stay at The Laurels, I visited him frequently and made the following observations: - I was kept up to date and informed by his care team regarding his plan of care through in-person meetings and/or phone calls. - The PT staff was polite and professional and worked with him on a daily basis to ensure he was in the proper physical condition to return home. - The nursing staff is top notch! They are passionate about the patients under their care and go above and beyond to ensure all of their needs are met in a timely manner. From my experience the nurses treat their patients like family. - The kitchen staff does an excellent job preparing tasteful meals that were catered to each patient’s dietary needs. I personally enjoyed the food that was served while visiting my dad. - No matter when I visited The Laurels, I was always greeted with a smile and called by name. These ladies always brought JOY to my day. - When my dad had doctor’s appointments, the travel coordinator and the ladies driving the transport van always managed to get him there early and pick him up in a timely manner. - The business office did a fantastic job handling the insurance and keeping everything on track. Thanks to each and every person at The Laurels for your passion and dedication! It takes special people to work in your profession and I’m thankful that each of you chose to follow your passion! I was truly impressed with what I experienced and what I witnessed during my visits. Thank you for going above and beyond while caring for my dad during his recent stay. Kind regards, Kevin.

My dad entered rehab for a hip fracture after a week of hospital stay. The staff were very helpful in getting him in the laurels with insurance etc. The registration director answered all questions and was available over the weekend if we needed anything. The nursing staff And therapists were very nice and answered our questions and were very helpful. The food was good and they replenished water he needed to have. We noticed the nursing staff due to the large number of patients per nurse had a slow response time especially during the evening. One night shift nurse told us she had 22 patients which included rehab and regular residents. We had been accustomed to faster response in hospital so this was a change for us especially my dad. We pressed the button for bathroom assistance and my family ended up helping him or the sitter in the room with another patient would help. This was when we were there. We do not know how long it took when dad was on his own and pressed the button for assistance. We would visit dad regularly and found he was clean and dry in his wheelchair after the night (he would have urine accidents during the night). He sat a lot in his chair and the bedsore that started in hospital got worse due to his sitting majority of time. He said his therapy involved standing and throwing bean bags into a corn hole and also going to therapy room where he practiced going up and down stairs. His vitals were taken daily and his medication was managed and well documented. We decided to take him home so he was only there one week because he was doing ok and could continue therapy at home. The physical therapist helped us practice helping him into the car. We had a meeting with his care team including the facility director, social worker, nurses, all therapists and insurance manager who all did an excellent job reviewing and helping us with the discharge process. We received good documentation of his health and medication in the discharge paperwork.

I was very impressed with the experience I had when I first when to the Laurels of Salisbury. The admissions/marketing director, Jodie was so kind and helpful. I stopped by several facilities in the area to choose a place for a loved one to go to after her hip surgery. Jodie was so helpful and gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions and tour the lovely facility. I plan to recommend the laurels to my dear friend for their rehab program. Thank you Jodie for helping us make this decision easier.

We can’t thank the staff at the Laurels enough for the incredible care they’ve given to our grandparents. From the moment they arrived, we felt peace knowing they were in such kind and capable hands. The nurses, therapists, and support staff treat them like family — always patient, compassionate, and attentive to every need. The facility is clean, welcoming, and truly feels like home. The communication has been wonderful, and it’s clear that everyone there genuinely cares about the residents’ well-being and happiness. We are beyond grateful for the comfort and dignity they’ve provided our loved ones. Thank you, the Laurels, for going above and beyond every single day!

From the moment we walked in the door to move our Mom into The Laurels, the welcome could not have been more inviting! Every member of the staff was at the front to greet us upon arrival, and they most certainly rolled out the red carpet from start to finish. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made us and our Mom feel so much at ease with such a huge transition we were facing in our family. The facility is impeccable, food is delicious, and all of the activities and resources that are available are top notch. We feel so grateful to have our Mom live at the Laurels and she is honestly so happy to be there. The sense of relief to know the care she receives, the amazing quality of life she has here, and the sense of belonging to a wonderful group of residents and staff goes above and beyond measure. We will recommend you all to anyone who needs this type of care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
