I would strongly recommend reconsidering this facility if you truly care about your loved one’s well-being. We chose this rehab center for a family member recovering from open-heart surgery, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Our family member appeared to be heavily medicated to the point that we genuinely feared they had suffered a stroke. For several days, they were unable to communicate clearly with us, and we struggled to get explanations regarding the medications being administered. The cleanliness was also unacceptable. The room was consistently unkempt, and when I asked whether an open-heart surgery patient should be expected to clean their own room, the response I received was simply, “I don’t know.” What was most alarming was that multiple staff members privately advised us to take our family member home. Several employees openly stated that this facility has a reputation for keeping patients longer than necessary. We repeatedly encountered vague and questionable reasons for delaying discharge, and it took persistent advocacy on our part to finally have our family member discharged appropriately. Communication was another major issue. It was extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone, which is terrifying when you have a loved one in a rehabilitation facility. When even staff members are warning families not to bring their loved ones here, that should speak volumes.

I cannot believe this place received any good reviews. My sister was a patient there for a recent spinal cord injury that caused paralysis. She had to call 911 to get someone to come to her room to address chest pains. Repeatedly she couldn’t reach the call bell. She was over medicated so they wouldn’t have to address her needs. She had a bedsore that worsened while she was there because she wasn’t turned every two hours. She also didn’t receive her prescribed enemas to help empty her bowels. I’m assuming this was because they wouldn’t have to clean her up. She fell out of her wheelchair in the presence of the nursing assistants. She became septic while she was there and was admitted to the hospital in true septic shock. Think twice before you send her loved ones here!!!
