Went there for physical therapy for a broken leg. I stayed there for three weeks and the nurses were friendly and the physical therapy team helped me to stregnthen my legs and get walking again. I am only 48 so I was up and down the hallway on my walker and on the exercise bike as much as they would let me. They were good people.

My best friend was in Astoria for almost 2 months until she passed away recently. She required alot of care and there was never an issue. There is no other place I would have wanted her to be. One of the strongest aspects is the staff. Nurses and aides consistently demonstrate patience, respect, and empathy. They take the time to build relationships with residents, which is incredibly important for emotional well-being. It was clear that many staff members genuinely care about the people they serve, not just completing their daily tasks. Diamond was such a huge support to me personally on my hardest days she always knew what to say. Gayle Brooks for always being willing to help me with the endless paperwork. Shannon Burgess for everything you do for the residents and for checking on me and your kind words. I formed so many relationships with the staff and residents in my time there and I can't think of a better facility for other families. My father in law was also at Atoria last year for rehab for 3 weeks. He could barely walk or talk when he arrived and when he left, he walked out. He is doing amazing and it is because of the staff. They are absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend them and if I could I would give them 10 stars.

My mother was moved to Astoria after a Tramatic Brain Injury. The entire staff is very caring and understanding. Not only do they care for mom, but also any concerns visiting families may have . I want to say thank you for all you do! Christina Bailey

Astoria has been a good place for my mom to live. She’s been there about 16 months. It is a smaller facility which makes it more personable for the residents and their families. The Activities Director, Shannon is one of the best! She has activities for the residents planned every day, but most importantly, Shannon loves the residents. She is truly caring and kind and treats them like she would her own family. That is important to me and my mom. The rest of the staff are great as well from the office staff, the nursing staff, the kitchen, therapy. They are all very friendly and take care of the residents.

I'm so thankful to know that my father is taken care of and so loved by the staff at Astoria. From the kitchen, to housekeeping, to the activities staff to the nursing staff - everyone has been so kind and caring with him. They handle his basic needs, but they also spend time with him. He's a happy, safe and comfortable and that means the world to me. Thank you, Astoria, for loving my sweet Dad.
