Laurels of West Carrollton is a senior living community in West Carrollton, Ohio offering Memory Care and Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care. Amenities include Restaurant style Dining Room, Gathering / Activity Spaces and Social Activities. Families rate it 4.4 out of 5 across 246 reviews.
Laurels of West Carrollton is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in West Carrollton, Ohio, with a licensed capacity of 88 residents. It serves patients requiring post-acute rehabilitation as well as those with ongoing care needs, including a memory care unit.
Family experiences at the facility are notably mixed. Many families consistently praise individual staff members, particularly nurses like Michelle L and nursing assistants like Vickie and Tamiko, for compassionate, attentive care. One family noted that staff "treated my mother as if she was their loved-one." Families also highlight strong support from administrative staff like Deara Turner in transportation and scheduling. However, several families report significant concerns: therapy services were implemented without proper authorization from power of attorney; staffing shortages led to delayed response to call buttons; one family experienced a therapy department staffing crisis that resulted in residents receiving far less therapy than promised; and a few families noted cleanliness issues and gaps in staff training for behavioral management.
The facility holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating across 246 Google reviews. While many families describe feeling welcomed and safe, and praise the compassion of standout staff members, others encountered administrative missteps and inconsistent service levels that suggest quality of care may depend significantly on which staff members are involved and circumstances at the time of admission.

During a visit to a family member who is currently recovering from surgery at this facility, we were pleasantly surprised to discover the complimentary community dinners (we were told they do them once a month), which was a welcome amenity. The care provided to our family member has been exceptional.

My mom is a resident in the memory care unit of Laurels Of West Carrollton and I am very pleased with the level of care she has been receiving. The nurses, I do not remember everyone's names, have been very helpful, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I have not had any issues with any of the nurses or the staff. I would confidently say this is a very caring place to bring your loved ones. Vicki, Taylor and Tasha have gone above and beyond to make sure my mom is comfortable, feels safe and happy to be there. Thank you
