My mom was there for two weeks or so following a fall. Although the menu lists items that sound fantastic, the reality is that the food was almost inedible. She called for assistance on multiple occasions without anyone answering. She needed assistance, getting ready for bed and one of the CNA‘s told her that she would have to do it herself. She can’t. That’s why she was there. To get that kind of help. All of her PT was in a group setting, denying her the one-on-one sessions to work on what was really bothering her. It seemed more like a “let’s get the old folks together and have a move around a little” session. There were two people in her room, which wasn’t so bad, but with only one bathroom between them and one TV between them, they sometimes had to wait. The CNA‘s and nurses seemed nice enough when my brother or I was there, but seemed to treat her differently when we weren’t. I would not recommend this facility for short-term rehab.

Our family’s experience with The Greens at Weaverville has been overwhelmingly positive during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. Transitioning my mother from the home she had lived in since 1970 into skilled nursing care while simultaneously walking through my father’s decline and passing was emotionally overwhelming. From the very beginning, the admissions and care team met us with kindness, honesty, compassion, and patience. They answered every question, stayed in communication, and helped guide us through a very complicated process with reassurance and support every step of the way. What stands out most to me is the culture of the facility. I have consistently seen residents treated with dignity, warmth, respect, and genuine compassion. The staff members are friendly, responsive, and clearly work incredibly hard in what I believe are some of the most demanding jobs imaginable. The facility itself feels remarkably homey rather than cold or institutional. The shared spaces are welcoming and accessible, there are activities happening constantly, and residents are encouraged to engage socially and physically at whatever level fits their individual needs. My mother participates in exercise classes, physical therapy, outdoor walks, and activities she truly enjoys. I especially appreciate their holistic approach to care — staff are attentive to even small changes in residents’ well-being and proactive about addressing concerns early. The care and kindness shown to our family after my father passed away meant more than I can express. Staff members checked on my mother personally, offered support, and even gave her a thoughtful card signed by members of the therapy team. Those small human moments matter deeply. I also want to mention how impressed I was with the memory care area. The design, layout, and individualized touches showed such thoughtful understanding of the unique needs of residents living with memory challenges. The facility is consistently clean, welcoming, and full of life. I love that residents can enjoy outdoor spaces, family visits, pets, celebrations, crafts, and community. From administration to therapy staff to nursing assistants and support staff, we have felt cared for and supported throughout this journey. I know every family’s experience is different, but from my perspective, The Greens at Weaverville has been a true blessing for our family.

Choosing a nursing home for a loved one is never easy, but this team has exceeded our expectations. From the nurses and aides to the administration, everyone has been supportive, compassionate, and responsive. Our family member has received excellent care, and we’ve noticed how much effort the staff puts into making residents feel valued and comfortable. We’re thankful for the kindness and professionalism shown to our family.

When it was time for my mom to move into assisted living, I was really concerned about finding the right place for her. She has always resisted the idea and has had mixed experiences during her seance of rehab. I am so glad that we found The Greens At Weaverville! The staff is very attentive and speaks with her in such a wonderful way. It takes a great deal of weight off my shoulders, knowing that she is in good hands.
