My mother has been in Independent Living at Brooks Howell for 3 years now - she has a beautiful apartment and many options for activities throughout the day. The staff is absolutely wonderful and they adhere to a belief that they (the staff) are working in the resident's home. They are respectful and careful and always kind and helpful. Many places tend to have staff members who feel the residents are in their way as they try to work - that is not the case at Brooks Howell!<br>While mother is living independently now (at age 97), she is comforted by the knowledge that the medical portion of Brooks Howell is available if it becomes necessary. She already knows the staff because of the congenial family-type atmosphere so she has no worries about her circumstances changing.<br>We truly feel blessed for her to have become a resident at Brooks Howell.

Brooks Howell is a wonderful caring place for retirees. It provides for all your needs as an independent living resident in a variety of settings as well as one who needs more care in the Bancroft Taylor Unit.
