Don’t let the negative reviews from years ago deter you from admitting your loved ones at the Ellington. Both my parents have been residents here since September 2025. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My parents are treated with kindness and compassion. The activity coordinator does a great job of keeping them active with all activities. They especially love Bingo…They both love their new home. Thank you to all the staff who have made the transition to the facility the best experience possible.

This nursing home a few years ago was great! Very Nice facility! but don't let that deceive you. Its not like that at all anymore. Food is aweful and could be so much better. If they need to be fed by assistants, you better plan on having to do it yourself, give them food they capable of eating or watch them dehydrate badly to where they can't eat at all then they will try to make you believe they are dying. Had to put a cover over the thermostat in the room because the workers would keep setting it on 66 degrees and the unit stays on all the time and it was freezing in the room! Lots of neglect in many ways and especially if they need extra care! You might find them with bad bed sores they say that they can't do nothing for because they do not want to turn them or use proper pillow and treatment. At the same time find them laying in a bed full of urine with a bad bladder infection and have to take them to the emergency room yourself to save their life. Thats from top to bottom of the staff on whole excluding some of the good ones but it starts at the top. Make sure you pay very close attention and have a camera in the room. It won't take long to see what I am saying even without a camera!! There are other places as bad but some way better do your homework. This is only a few of the bad experiences we had here and our present advice and opinion!

I would not bring anyone to Ellington and Rayne my mother-in-law was there he was treated so bad we had to move the night shifts or the problem. They are always shorthanded on night shift sometimes on date the people at night just don't care they want to collect a check and that's it. If you love your family member these homes are the worst place for them
