The environment is clean, safe, and welcoming, and the staff are so kind and loving. The several holiday events for the residents always leave a smile on their face and that is truly a blessing.

My mom lived here for 2 years (she passed away last month) and they always took good care of her and truly cared about her and each resident. I saw it first-hand because I was here for hours 4-5 days a week on average. I always felt at peace about leaving to go home because I knew they would take good care of my mom! Peace of mind is like gold! That's what they offer here. The food was mostly good (yes, I tasted it) but no options to choose from. However, I did see them get protein shakes, fruit, yogurt, etc. for people who just didn't like what was being served that day. I never saw any of the employees lose their tempers at all. During the end of the 1st year my mom lived here, we did have an issue with a night-time employee. My mom didn't like her and she obviously didn't like my mom (saw it on Ring video of my mom's room). When I brought the issue up with the house manager, it was addressed immediately. I always felt like they had my mom's care as a priority. Bottom line... Magnolia (Plano) is a good place for those with memory issues and if my mom was still alive, she would still be living here!

Magnolia Assisted Living and Memory Care in Plano is truly a gem. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and genuine care that the staff provides. The environment is not only clean and beautifully maintained but also feels like home — safe, peaceful, and full of heart. A special shoutout to Savannah, the house manager, whose leadership and compassion set the tone for the entire community. She goes above and beyond to make sure each resident is treated with dignity, kindness, and individualized attention. You can tell she genuinely cares — and that attitude radiates through the entire staff. It’s comforting to know there’s a place like Magnolia where families can trust their loved ones are not just cared for, but truly loved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality assisted living or memory care with a personal touch.

Magnolia AL in Plano has been so pleasant to work with. They have gone above and beyond to make their residents feel at home. We especially love the live music events and celebrations they host often. We have been very pleased with the level of care provided and easy, transparent communication from the entire staff. There’s a great park walking distance to the community, for nice outings. We also appreciate the staff to resident ratio, and immediate attention when needed. We are happy with our selection!

Update: The issue with staff turnover has gotten much better, and my mother is very happy most of the time. I can't say enough good things about Alex, Sheila, E, and Savannah. They take very good care of Mom. This is a very nice facility. The rooms are spacious and the physical building is clean and neat. Management is very responsive when issues arise. Right now there are issues with the staff. The turnover is high, and they don't provide enough training for the caregivers. We have had issues with the staff being rude to my mother, and with medication not being administered properly. The system they use for residents to indicate they need assistance does not work properly, and there have been 4 instances of it coming unplugged. I think they are unplugging it on purpose, because it always happens at night, but this is speculation. In spite of this, it is the best by far of the facilities we have experience with. This is Mom's third placement in a year. It is just VERY difficult to find people who can do this kind of work and who enjoy being around the old people. The best option is to keep your loved one at home as long as possible. This is an assisted living facility, but they have some residents who require a higher level of care. Since it is not a nursing home, there is not always a nurse present to help with emergencies.
