The nursing team is careless they don't tend to their residents with urgency. Kristina talks to her staff with attitude and belittles them. There is a lot of negative surrounding this place, i was given attitude by the nurses and the management from the independent living building. I do not recommend bringing your loved ones here.

While there were a few positive aspects—most notably a younger male nurse who stood out for his care, as well as the facility’s cleanliness—our overall experience warrants a one-star review. Our greatest frustration was the lack of communication. From the beginning, we made it clear that our father is a new patient with dementia and is unable to communicate what is happening, so timely and accurate updates were extremely important to our family. Unfortunately, that level of communication was not provided. The lack of updates and transparency regarding our father’s true health status was incredibly frustrating. In one instance, we gave approval to begin a new medication, only to receive another call three days later asking for permission to start the same medication we had already authorized—resulting in three unnecessary days of delay. If communication and consistent updates about your loved one’s care are important to you, I would not recommend this facility.

I recently had the opportunity to tour La Loma and it was truly an inspiring experience. Angie Camacho provided a fantastic tour and took the time to show me the newly expanded units, which are beautifully designed and thoughtfully planned. During my visit, I enjoyed a wonderful lunch and even had the chance to meet Darryl, the Vice President of Operations, along with Cheryl, their designer. It was clear from those conversations how much intention and care goes into the community. What stood out most was the overall atmosphere. The residents looked happy, engaged, and genuinely connected, and the staff throughout the community were welcoming, smiling, and proud of where they work. From the moment you walk through the front entry to the moment you leave, there is a warm and vibrant energy that is hard to miss. It was also great to see how proactive the team is. They are currently painting the exterior and expanding spaces to make an already beautiful community even better. They clearly are not waiting for things to decline—they are investing in the future and continuing to elevate the environment for their residents. La Loma is doing something special. This team absolutely has it together.

Absolutely outstanding service. My elderly uncle who can be very difficult stayed here 6 weeks after surgery. The social worker, Pedro Lopez, was phenomenal. He answered phone calls, and returned emails promptly and went above and beyond to provide the best care for my Uncle. The nurses, care and food staff were compassionate and kind. The facility is clean and beautiful and they keep the rooms and bathrooms spotless. The food was also great. I would not hesitate to place a loved one at Sun Health La Loma.

My mom had to stay here for a month for her hip recovery and for a bad infection. My mom felt nervous to stay alone but they allowed me to sleep over as she recovered. I remember having my little office setup in the room as I stayed by her bedside. Everyone especially Angelica, made my mom's visit a satisfying one. She wanted to leave the first night because she was nervous, but Angelica spoke with her and assured her that she will recover safely and quickly at the center. The cleaning staff deserves a raise because they always keep the place clean and sanitary! Everyone was so nice and did a great job helping my mom. The kitchen staff also deserves a raise!
