I just brought my dad here @3 weeks ago and I have met one amazing person after another! Having taken care of my dad for the last many years alone, this was a really big decision for me. Each day I feel more certain that this was a great decision! I have so many kind, generous and helpful people on my team now and it feels so good! Thank you everyone from the Springs! So grateful and blessed to have chosen here and you!

Our family’s experience with this rehabilitation facility was deeply concerning and extremely disappointing. Based on what we personally witnessed and experienced, we cannot recommend this center to others seeking safe and attentive care for a loved one. Throughout my mother-in-law’s stay, communication from the facility was consistently poor. Our family repeatedly attempted to obtain clear updates regarding her condition, treatment, and overall care plan, but information was often delayed, inconsistent, or incomplete. On multiple occasions, we were told she was “doing okay,” while her medical condition ultimately required additional hospitalization and multiple surgeries. What was especially troubling was that my fiancée, who is her mother’s designated power of attorney, was not properly informed in a timely manner when her mother was transferred back to the hospital for treatment and surgical procedures. In our opinion, communication regarding serious medical developments should have been handled with far greater urgency, transparency, and professionalism. We were also concerned by what appeared to be a lack of accountability when questions were raised regarding her care and the events leading up to her hospitalizations. Rather than receiving direct answers or clear explanations, many of our concerns felt dismissed or inadequately addressed. Unfortunately, even the process of retrieving her personal belongings reflected the same level of disorganization we experienced during her stay. Despite repeated communication requesting that her items be prepared appropriately, her belongings were placed into plastic bags and left shoved underneath a chair. There did not appear to be any organized inventory or documentation process in place at the time we arrived to collect them. We understand that healthcare environments can be challenging and demanding, and we appreciate the hard work many healthcare workers perform every day. However, our family’s experience with this facility raised serious concerns regarding communication, coordination of care, organization, and overall patient oversight. Families trust facilities like this with the health, safety, and dignity of the people they love. In our experience, that trust was not met with the level of care and professionalism we expected

My Mom just came home today after 5 weeks at the Springs for rehab following hip surgery. We were both very happy with the staff and the care there. Too bad that she wasted time at another facility which basically was a setback. When I first checked out the Springs, Fritzie was great and showed me the place and I explained Mom's situation. The next day, she went to Doctor's Hospital to meet and talk to Mom, which was so nice, that meant a lot to us. And after 2 days, Mom was very comfortable at the Springs and already showing some progress. Joel and the whole crew were great working with her with PT and rehab. She was so happy with so many people there, she really loved Tomasita and so many more. The nurses are great as well. The two that I relied on the most are Anna and Karin. The kept me up to speed on everything, and when I had a question or concern, they were right on it. Great people there. So if anyone needs some rehab to get around better, I highly recommend the Springs. NOT the Pines ! Go to the Springs, you'll be glad you did. !

I was visiting my Aunt from out of town , she’s on the rehab side. The rehab smells nice and seems very clean. My Aunt can be kinda tough but I only saw the CNA’s and Nurses being kind and patient . Nurse Amber took the time to sit and talk with us about some medical questions too and get an extra pillow for my Aunt . Highly recommended .

Edited to Add – November 2, 2025 UPDATE: Still 5-star! My mom’s journey in the Brittany Unit of The Springs at Lake Pointe Woods continues. Tanisha and Lakkossha supervisory staff in the nursing department have followed through to improve communication and documentation of Mom’s care needs -especially reassuring since I live out of state. Stirling, a newer addition to the business office, has also been a wonderful resource. He is knowledgeable about long-term care, and takes time to support families, as well as follow up on actions to improve residents’ well-being. Mom remains socially engaged with the friends she has made at The Springs. She enjoys concerts, holiday celebrations, social games, and of course, the on-site ice cream parlor — all organized by the activities team. If your loved one would benefit from being part of an active, connected community, I can confidently say we found that here. Original 2024 Review: My mom moved to The Springs at Lake Pointe Woods in 2023 from a different long-term care facility in Venice. We made the change because of 2 issues. Mom needed more social contact, and she needed direct care staff who prioritized her comfort and care. The move has made a remarkable difference in mom’s mood, social life, and daily enjoyment. She participates in activities, reads again, and loves the courtyard garden and therapy animals. What stands out most is the stable, caring staff. It is so important to see familiar faces who know moms needs and desires, rather than the constant rotation of temporary staff we experienced at another facility. The environment feels warm, competent, and resident-focused. I had no idea long term care could be so much better. I only wish we made the move sooner!
