My grandmother stayed here for a short time and when I would go over to visit she would be roaming the halls by her room and no staff anywhere to be found. We moved her out after only a short time at Aravilla.

It is deeply upsetting that a place that was supposed to be called “home” failed to keep a resident’s personal belongings safe and secure. Personal photographs are missing, memories that are irreplaceable and can never be recovered, along with clothing and other personal items.

While clothing can be replaced, photographs of family, loved ones, and important moments cannot. Families trust a facility with not only the care of their loved one, but also with respecting their dignity, personal property, and rights.

This facility needs to take responsibility for protecting its residents and upholding the rights afforded to them under Florida law. Families should be able to trust that when their loved one lives in a facility, their personal belongings will be treated with care and respect.

Terrible! AVOID! I wouldn't wish what my 89 yr old mom experienced here on my worst enemy. An absolute horror show.

Moved her to 2nd floor Memory Care, into the model room and they apparently forgot about her — no laundry, room cleaning or bathroom cleaning for THREE WEEKS. Memory Care seemed severely understaffed, with significant staff turnover — even staff told me this — and they were constantly using agency/fill-in nurses. There was no continuity of care for my mom. Shameful.

We finally moved her out. In 8 months, she lost 24 lbs, fell twice and went to the ER twice — one visit resulting in admission to Cardiac Short Stay. I watched her rapidly decline during her time here. Not ONE care-plan meeting in Assisted Living or Memory Care and little to no communication from management.
