Shelby Farms Senior Living is an assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing community in Shelbyville, Kentucky, operated by Trilogy Health Services. The community provides a range of care levels to meet residents wherever they are on their journey, from independent living to full assistance with daily activities.
Assisted living services support residents who desire additional help with appointments, medications, and household chores. Memory care is delivered through the Best Friends Approach, which pairs residents with companions who understand their life stories, along with Daily Rhythms programming that provides consistent engagement throughout the day and fulfilling activities designed to stimulate the mind and encourage socialization. Post-acute residents have access to pharmacy and rehabilitative care through a partnership with Synchrony Health Services.
The community features chef-prepared meals included with most levels of care, with menus accommodating various dietary restrictions including heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly, and texture-modified options. Lifestyle programming includes fitness classes through the Vitality program, arts experiences via the Artisan program, enrichment clubs, games, live music, and themed events. Most Trilogy care levels include laundry and housekeeping services. Campuses are designed with large gathering spaces, libraries, community rooms, outdoor walking paths, activity areas, fitness spaces, beauty and barber services, and landscaped courtyards.
Safety features include clinical-grade alert systems and monitoring technology across all communities excluding Patio Homes, allowing residents to quickly access assistance. The community is located near UofL Shelbyville, Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and Norton facilities, as well as nearby churches.
Most apartments are unfurnished, allowing residents to bring their own furniture and belongings. The community is pet-friendly, with well-behaved pets welcome according to community guidelines; however, pets are not permitted in Skilled Nursing halls or buildings. Respite care is available for short-term stays lasting from a few days to several weeks, and adult day services operate during daytime hours with flexible scheduling options.
